For UK fans, I Love 1988 on BBC 2 tonight

This will interest UK fans.

On BBC 2 tonight at 8:30pm there is a show called I Love 1988.

Quote:

The series which takes a look at 1980s pop culture focuses on 1988, with this edition hosted by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The summer of love chages clubbing forever
Could be interesting.

It's a repeat, the series originally ran... wow... more than ten years ago I think. Curious they are repeating various episodes (I recall seeing I Love 1980 last week, which a mate of mine did filming for!). If you haven't seen them, then yes, tune in and enjoy ;)

Lol this is hilarious, the turtles are computer animated and Raph was singing Bross song When will I be famous.

Based on Kevin's terrible mullet-esque haircut in the interview clips, I agree this program must be a good 15 years old!

TheBlueTurtle1 06-14-2014 02:51 PM

lol a few years old now, kevin looks alot younger.

Discogod 06-14-2014 02:52 PM

Yeah, think it dates from the turn of the century or thereabouts. Can't recall being too impressed with it when I first saw it, but I tend not to be a fan of these "random z-lister pretends to remember things" programmes at the best of times.

Cheesebrush 06-14-2014 02:59 PM

Yeah, they could really do with dropping all the "celebrities" and just show video clips and music with the occasional caption.

It was ok. I think this was done back in 2000 or 2001.
