Embarassing TMNT moments...

with all the response that the new TMNT is drawing - both negative and positive...

...Screen Junkies put this together.

It's proven itself to be a very resilient franchise. And holy crap your signature actually makes '14 Movie Donnie looks badass AND he's not wearing the stupid glasses.

Maybe april gets him Contacts towards the end because they get in his way? that would be kind of cool IMO

Or he only wears them when hes doing machines.

I enjoy Black Nerd comedy and Red Letter Media so that video was awesome.

i love this image of Donnie - he and Leo tie for favorite turtle for me, and this pose is bad-ass. i want hunt down the actual cutboard standee, and swipe it from whatever theatre this is hiding in.

Yup... that was about as painful to watch as viewing my parent's old family home VHS videos I'm in. And the late 80s/early 90s era just makes it more painful.

At least our heroes get to share in having an equally embarrassing past....

Ok, even I have to agree that image of Donnie is cool looking, so that's saying something. (Is this art rather than model render? Some of the art versions are a little more flattering imo.)

TMNT is cooler than MOTU 06-19-2014 04:09 PM

I had no idea that video with the Christmas songs even existed.:teek:

IndigoErth 06-19-2014 04:21 PM

Yeah, nice catch on those matches. Think what really helps for me with that Donnie image (cut out?) is that the angle makes his mouth look like it actually has a bit more of a beak-like contour that I haven't really seen elsewhere.

Likewise. There's no words for that... Curious what year it was.

UGHShellshocked 06-19-2014 04:22 PM

Leonardo had a rowboat

PizzaFaceDelivers 06-20-2014 07:50 PM

I'm not going to lie, Coming Out of Their Shells was the first cassette I ever owned and I played it until it wore out. Pizza Power is still my jam. Also, despite its abject presentation, it just aint Christmas at my house without a viewing of the Christmas special.

Jay!

Red Letter Media is fantastic.

pennydreadful 06-21-2014 12:24 AM

That video was great. :D I love me some embarrassingly cheesy Turtles!

I actually like that, I could get behind this film if that's what the turtles looked like, but alas it's just a coincidence of camera position and expression :ohwell:

(And a lack of idiot glasses)

I understand guys, I really do, we all have things we'll never live down, and apparently it isn't just a real-people problem. It's ok, we still love you.:P

They must be defective, glasses are supposed to produce an opposite stereotype. lol

Tora 06-22-2014 10:21 AM

This might be my favorite cheesy TMNT related thing as I watched it when I was a kid and was very pleased to see it that day.

I also want to know what happened to this Turtle Van??! I must KNOW!

I know, right? Did you ever see that clip of the COOTS tour where the girl dressed as April interviews kids? One says he wants to see Ralphatello or something like that.

Tora 06-22-2014 11:53 AM

Ok so I looked it up and the Van from the X-maas video got repainted for Army Men at MGM Studios back in the early 2000's and i'm not sure what became of it after that. :tsad:

Looks like it could a fairly easy van to replicate though.
