Did the new trailer change your mind?

Now that the new trailer was released did it change your mind or thoughts about the movie?

Cure 06-24-2014 10:40 AM

Nah. I was excited about the movie, anyway, only more now.

BabyTurtles 06-24-2014 10:47 AM

Nope! still super hyped!! :D

To be honest, somewhat. I've been sternly opposed to the film based on what we'd seen, but now, it's really just the designs I don't like. But, I can get over that if it's still a good TMNT movie. I like that they went ahead and revealed who we can just assume is Oroku Saki.

The biggest thing for me here is that I'm now excited to take my daughter to see this, whereas before I thought she wasn't going to get the Turtles she adores from the Nick series. There are definitely Nick influences here, especially with Mikey's personality and Saki's appearance.

plastroncafe 06-24-2014 10:50 AM

Not really, no. I think it's still going to be a wet hot mess, but at least that wet hot mess will be shiney.

TurtleTitan97 06-24-2014 10:51 AM

Not much. There are still some issues that I have with this movie. But the new trailer is the best one so far.

TheSkeletonMan939 06-24-2014 10:53 AM

Believe it or not, the new trailer made me less excited for the movie; or rather, less hopeful about it than I already was.

The voices were pretty awful, and the jokes worse. People say 2K3 Mikey was bad; after this movie comes out I think this version of Mikey will be considered the worst incarnation.

I think because up to this point the studio didn't really show much footage of the turtles, I had some inkling of hope that the TMNT would actually be tolerable as characters, but apparently not. Mikey seems like an unfunny dolt, Raph an idiot who's powered by sheer, sheer rage, and I guess Leo was fine. Donny of course got no screen time during the trailer because everyone likes to screw him over, so I have no idea how he'll be.

I guess it's nice that they'll be some sort of Asian Shredder, but isn't it still odd how Oroku Saki sounds way too much like Erich Sachs? I still think Sachs will end up being the Shredder.

Overall I'm not excited by this film, still. I kind of hoped this trailer could change that, but unfortunately not.

I've always been excited about this movie from the start, regardless of how well it does or if it bombs. There's still a lot of elements I really don't like in this movie (ex: having a white person play Shredder etc.), but this trailer has me more pumped to see it. Bring it on.

pingclang 06-24-2014 11:15 AM

Honestly it did actually make me a little more excited to see it. I still think Megan Fox is gonna be a mess and I really don't like the look of the characters but hey it may just be decent.

TLCMathMan 06-24-2014 11:18 AM

Great action, slight plot reveal, silhouette of (who is likely to be) Oroku Saki. I'm looking forward to the movie.

But these turtles will always be cited by me as "Bay's Quasimodos."

I think my post history is clear on my being open minded about the film despite the track record of some of those involved.

But after the trailer I would say I am more excited for sure.

I feel like it pushed me from neutral into positively optimistic territory.

Well said and my thoughts exactly it went from neutral to positively optimistic

gettinshell 06-24-2014 11:27 AM

As stated above I've been pumped this is just icing on the cake for me :tgrin:

sethmartin 06-24-2014 11:46 AM

This trailer actually feels like a Ninja Turtles movie. The other trailers were ok but really didn't show off the fun factor, the silliness, or the comedy. This one had a perfect balance of all. I like how Raphael still has his thick New York accent and Knoxville actually sounds like Leonardo! I'm still curious what exactly causes all of the destruction (please be Technodrome) and how exactly Splinter ties into the Shredder.

chrisdude 06-24-2014 11:58 AM

This movie looks like fun. When's the last time a comic book movie was fun? The Avengers? I feel like I'm in line for a rollercoaster, right now.

BlisterStockboy 06-24-2014 11:59 AM

I thought that the trailer was great, and I loved all of the interaction between the Turtles. I'm still getting used to the character designs, but that will grow on me. What bothered me was the dubstep music..

Please, please, PLEASE don't let the soundtrack be dubstep.

MiBs 06-24-2014 12:01 PM

there's still a lot about this movie, I'm not crazy about, but I must admit that the trailer got me a little more excited
