Do you think its interesting that TMNT has been in all types of media?

Outside of the comics?

- Hand drawn 2D cartoons = Original show and 4kids

- CG cartoon = Nick

- Live-action show = Next Mutation

- Anime = TMNT Anime OVA

- Live action theatrical Movies = Original movie trilogy

- CG movie = 4th TMNT movie

- Hybrid Movie = Michael Bay movie

- Music = Coming out of their Shells Tour

I mean they did everything from cartoons, to CG cartoons, to anime, to live action, to movies, to music, etc. Its amazing.

Won't be a complete spread until we get a movie in the style of High School Musical. Turtle Grease?

pennydreadful 06-27-2014 10:05 PM

I for one want to see the Turtles being performed in interpretive dance. :P

Where's our Broadway special!?

Jokes aside, one thing that hasn't been done yet (well, not in full) that I've long been pining for, is claymation.

& before anyone thinks I don't know my ish, yes, I know there was a commercial like that. I want an entire movie/show. :trazz:

A claymation tmnt thing would be pretty cool.

We Wish You a Turtles a Christmas.

Closest you'll get... and it's horrible.

MikeandRaph87 06-28-2014 12:32 AM

JamieH,Its not as campy as Coming Out Of Our Shells Tour. I believe your a fan,but even as a kid I thought it was a bad idea and the plot does not help it either. The We Wish You A Turtles Christmas is an improvement on this bad concept of the turtles being muscians and randomly breaking out in song. Its TMNT and Christmas so it has that going for it and I believe is stronger than Turtles Tunes that came around the same time. Such poor quality in both.

Snake,if I am not mistaken claymation was used in advertisements for TMNT productios during Turtle Mania.

Cubed, your breaking it down a bit much. Its animation, movies, comics,ad toys. The rest is just branches off of that.

Which is what I said, in the post that he quoted. :blanksta:

We have genetic research and science, why aren't they real yet. If we make them real there will be more options.

'Course, then they're slaves for human entertainment doing countless live action movies/shows and will never get away from the fangirls... Never mind. I like them too much to want to subject them to reality. :P

JamieH 06-28-2014 01:29 AM

Eh, I'd say after the Tour turtles and music just got worse. The Tour was also an experience for kids. As campy and bad as it was, kids ate it up, 7 year old me did.

We can look back and see how horrible it was now. But it wasn't so bad in the moment... well, it probably was for the parents and guardians.

Netkeeper 06-28-2014 01:35 AM

You forgot Video Games and Tabletop Roleplaying! TMNT has been there, too!

But where's our NOVEL? [Do we have a novel?]

Netkeeper 06-28-2014 03:27 AM

Callin' dibs on Donnie.

Prowler 06-28-2014 06:08 AM

No, not at all. TMNT has been a popular franchise since the FW toon, so it was only a matter of time before it spread into several types of media just like Batman, Spider-Man and others did. TMNT were ahead of Marvel when it came to getting an anime based on them, though.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing.

Is there a TMNT ride yet? I think one of them interactive rides like they got with the Simpsons, POTC or Finding Nemo would be fun in a TMNT fashion.

I hope there comes a day when TMNT have a TMNT day like Disney has Star Wars days, complete with parades and appearances by actors and stunt doubles.

This kind of reminds me of what happened to Captain America in his first movie.

CyberCubed 06-28-2014 01:34 PM

I'm sure there will be a TMNT ride at Nick's section at Universal Studios someday.

IndigoErth 06-28-2014 02:41 PM

Well Mall of America supposedly has a ride, though the style of ride, while not being something I'd ever seen prior to a video, is kinda crazy looking I'm not quite sure how it relates them realaly.

Now an interactive ride as you suggest would be really cool! While they're at it, just do an entire TMNT area like they've done with Harry Potter. And good luck then getting us to leave at closing time. lol :)

Granted we can always just visit NYC, but that would require a lot more imagination. lol

I'd kill for a tmnt theme park/area like the HP thing in Universal.
