What material possessions and modern conveniences could you not live without?

We'd all love to be totally zen and above such things, but let's face it - we love things. So what things do you love that you couldn't live without? (Well, you probably could live without them since y'know, food/air/water/shelter are the main necessities for actual survival, but it's intended in a metaphorical sense... perhaps I should've named this thread "What material possessions and modern conveniences would you really not like to live without? :P)

I'll start off.

I would really not like to live without... my Rimmel 60-second black nailpolish. I'm just not myself without it, and since I'm so bad at painting my nails, I need something that dries super-quick like this brand does!

Disclaimer: that is not my photo and not my hand!

I also could not live without my laptop, but that goes without saying!!!

Probably any of my figurines of my favorite characters. I often carry one or two of them in my purse as little "safe things" that help me when I start getting nervous in public. I start to rub my thumb over them and feeling the textures and the bumps/raised areas that give them shape helps calm me down. That may seem really weird but it helps a lot... I currently have my 2012 Donatello figure in my purse. I am trying to buy a Hiccup figure to carry, too.

My phone and my drawing supplies. My phone because i'm on it for about 2/3 of the day and my drawing stuff because when I'm not on my phone I draw.

My cell phone... On it a lot. XD aaaannnnndddd my REPO! The Genetic Opera DVD. Frickin love that movie. (lol i can't really think of anything i can't live without)

I gotta have my gamez, so I guess by proxy I need the TV to play them on and the electricity to power both.

And I guess modern medicine and stuff since I'm sickly.

Probably just games. I would say DVDs, but then again you can watch virtually anything on the internet anyway that you don't have to physically own TV shows or movies anymore.

Other than that just my TMNT comic collection which I re-read every few years.

Internet, turtles, action figures, games, and The Drome.

Internet, TV, my laptop, and that's pretty much it really.

My computers. My laptop especially. It was the first computer I ever bought with my own money, and I love it like I love a pet even though it's honestly not a very good laptop. It runs Firefox at a reasonable speed and I can watch YouTube videos just fine, so when I need to curl up in bed and watch something, it works excellently. And that's about all I need it for.

My computer. internet & external hard-drive
My custom Brin Londo plushie
My collection of action figures (mostly TFs)
My 2k3 Donnie plushie
My souvenirs from Japan
My books & comics (I love to read)
My DVD collection
My free-view television
My art commissions from Kat Nicholson

Computers and the internet.

That too, I cannot live without the internet, Otherwise, My PC becomes a giant doorstop.

Ditto this!!! The internet is the teat from which I suckle the milk of life... or something.

I was going somewhere with that, but it petered out. :P

My computer and my iPod Touch.

Also my extensive collection of DVDs.

My computer and internet connection.

Cars. That's the thing I could live without, but never want to, and hope I never have to. I'm a car guy, it's part of who I am, one of the biggest, if not the biggest things that make me, me.

Most people see cars as appliances, but they're so much more to a guy like me. To give them up would make life so much more dull and uninteresting. I had one hell of an experience late last night/early this morning that reminded me why I love cars so damn much. And to live without moments like that from time to time after having them would be ****ing depressing in a world where cars disappeared.

Also, this:

'Blue Gumtree'

:D

Privacy, time alone, a heater when it's cold outside.

I can't live without my hairdryer. If I don't blowdry my hair after washing it, it dries all fluffy and looks horrendous.
