Question About the Karai Toy *Spoilers*

Obvious spoilers for those that haven't seen the episode : "Vengeance Is Mine"

Spoiler:
Do you guys think that the Karai toy will be human Karai, or this snake version of her? Considering the fact that April is the only real "Human" (I guess you could count Shredder..) in the toyline, I think it would make sense to have Karai as a human, but do you think that Playmates will make the toy of her as the snake?

It's the mutant form. Playmates keeps saying "mutated" Karai.

BlisterStockboy 06-29-2014 02:18 PM

I think they should release both.. Have a human Karai and then have a "Build The Mutant" for Mutated Karai. It makes no sense for April to be the only human of the series other than Casey.. But he's even hiding behind face paint and a mask.

Don't understand why such an important character like Karai hadn't gotten a figure a long time ago. I like her human form as a design a lot. I can pass on her mutant design.

Well you also have the Foot Soldier's and Stockman as humans.

And I'm pretty sure there is a Casey Jones figure too.

Right?!
it's not like she's an important part of the plot and series or anything. e_e

As her character is now apparently a Shape-shifter, it would be pretty appropriate to do both versions somehow. But they won't.

I don't know, but I expect we will be getting mutant Karai or partially mutated Karai. A normal Karai with interchangeable mutant parts would be a good way to have both regular and mutant Karai. If it is full on mutant Karai, I will probabaly buy the action figure, but my excitement for it will be about the same as it was when I found Kirby Bat and Snakeweed. Kind of a meh..... I guess I will buy it anyways if I find it in stores. Now, if they make normal human Karai, I will be glad to have that figure.

I've got no interest in a mutant Karai toy, it's sad we most likely not get a normal Karai action figure.

At least I got a Lego Karai...

Can someone make a show accurate custom Karai figure please and thank you. :tsmile:

I would be surprised if we got non-mutant Karai as a figure, though it is one that I would dearly love to have. :ohwell:

OtakuX 06-29-2014 04:28 PM

I'd prefer her in her human form with the snake eyes, but I know that's not gonna happen.

Someone made one, I found it in a Google image search. It looks pretty good to me:

Dang they did a fine job!

Pretty close to what I hope Playmates releases.

But since we are getting a mutated version... really wondering if we'll ever get a human version or not.

playmates just hates doing female figures. despite the fact april is a big seller and you can't find her easily.

Can't wait to get a 3D printer. I'll make my own toys.

Do such things actually exist?

Donatello19 06-29-2014 06:49 PM

Knowing Playmates, it will just be the snake version of her...but who knows, we'll see how she appears more often in the upcoming episodes.

Also, April and Shredder aren't the only humans in the toy line. There's also Baxter Stockman, the Foot and Casey Jones.

Also, it'll suck.

Yes.

http://www.makerbot.com/

This company makes devices that allow you to 'print' out into plastic form any 3d design you find off of the computer.

If a person could find the 3d models of the Nick characters, theoretically they could be printed out into figure form, which is what I think some people might be going for.

There exists a lot of various 3D printers, there's a company that 3D prints materials to build houses, a guy in Japan 3D printed working guns. There even is 3D printers for food products. Ect.

Some of the cheaper models are pretty affordable as well, considering what you can do with them, and the materials for printing isn't expensive.

It's one of the ways I am planning to make my own figures of the Out of the Shadows game, rip the CG models and break them up in a 3D modeling program for where the joints will be. Print them and link the joints together with Revoltech joints.
