TMNT 1990 meets TMNT 2014

Wouldn't it be awesome to see a movie similar to Turtles Forever with dozens versions of TMNT, but instead of the 2003 meeting 1987, TMNT 2014 movie Turtles meet TMNT 1990 movie turtles, and they teem up, it would be a killer at the box-office.

Heh :D Would be amusing and interesting to see how the film people would pull it off. As long as the new guys show better respect for the 1990 guys than what happened in Turtles Forever.

(Too be honest it's too bad the CGI/live action and 2D would be too clashing, I wouldn't mind 2014 putting 2003 in their place for the disrespect toward the littler guys... Maybe someone with talent and ambition will eventually do a 2D short of that.)

I don't remember the 2k3 turtles disrespecting the old toon turtles. Well maybe raph did but that kind of what he does with everybody. The others were more like annoyed at how wacky and silly they were acting.

I think it would be a cool way to bring back the 1990 Turtles! the animatronics has really improved! they would be just as emotive as the 2014 Turtles, it would be cool to bring back robbie rist as Mikey.

Do not want.

Aw come on, imagine the lively debates to be had... what are we to do when August's movie has been and gone? lol

Yeah... I think Mirage Raph, 2k3 Raph and Nick Raph would take one look at BayRaph's gladiator kilt and start laughing their shells off.

Seriously though - I'd rather keep 2014 Turtles separate; it's easier for me to let them be their own thing if I'm not put in a position where I'll be comparing them to other iterations.

I definitely do not want something like this to happen.

TurtleTitan97 07-19-2014 08:30 PM

Thanks, but no thanks.

It could be interesting, but it'll never happen.

And OT Raph would probability make a wisecrack about it.

As he pats his older - and yet younger seeming - incarnations on the shoulder, in a moment of tenderness (and/or sympathetic sarcasm) for his prior selves and says, "You'll understand why when you're older."

Andrew NDB 07-21-2014 02:21 PM

Something that amounts to more screentime for the 2014 TMNT? No thanks.

Though there's no reason they could just do CGI/motion-capture on the 1990 Turtles too... in a way that intentionally makes them look like the 1990 Henson animatronic suits, warts and all.

Who knows. We could possibly get another animated or CGI/animated movie like Turtles Forever in the future where they show all the incarnations of Turtles past
