Where's that company that is making the costume replicas?
Hey guys, what happened to that company who is making the TMNT costume replicas? Does anyone still have their website or any additional information on their progress? Thanks.

Jumping Jahosiphat! Someones making replicas? Great scott! Leaping lizards! um um.....Terrifying terrdactals...and um, well, yea a lot of other sayings too!
|
I saw it awhile back, they probably went out of business. Who's going to pay 1 grand for a turtle suit?
|
Serious collectors, of which there are many. Not to mention thats much less than you can find any of the other costumes for, if you can at all. All I've seen is Donatello for sale.
|
Was that the Donatello that moves?
|
I'd pay $1000 for a suit, that's who.
That Donatello is the TMNT 3 suit, and it's still for sale at www.starwares.com as well as Splinter. Anyone have the link to the replica makers, though? Josh |
1 grand was an understatement. They are probably more like 15 grand.
|
Splinter
The cable splinter looks cool :o

If you were referring to the starwars replica forum that the guy was going to make replicas and bring some to the San Diego Con, the Thread was removed about 2 months before the Con. You can find other topics about TMNT on the forum, but that specific thread is deleted.
|
the guy is still working on the replicas, including a movie style casey mask and a custom shredder helmet. i haven't talked to him since the SD con, so i'm not sure if they are done yet. you guys will definately know when they are completed and offered for sale. :D
|
You guys talkin' about Lance?
|
I believe the plan was to have them ready for DragonCon (not San Diego).
|
Yup, that's definitely Lance alright. I wasn't aware that so many people knew about them here. He and I originally had a deal in which he would lend me the suits for the filming of a TMNT Independent film, and that I would only pay round trip shipping. But due to a personal tragedy, the project had to be put on hold indefinitely. Unfortunately, as of late it seems that the project has been scrapped due to the extreme costs. It's a damn shame, because what I had seen, this was going to look incredible. One good thing though is that it seems that he still plans to release Casey Jones' hockey mask and something similar to Shredder's mouth piece; both of which I will definitely be picking up because dammit, this movie is GOING to be made. :) His site can be found at this address: http://www.xtremedesignfx.com/educationinstruction.htm
As you can tell, he and his partner do amazing work. And if any of you are interested in my movie, just let me know. |
Hey Raph, I've done some voice-over work (among other things) and would be more than happy to provide any voices you might need (yes, I can do the turtles :D)
Josh |
Wow, that's an awesome idea, your movie. I duuno if there would be anything I could ever do to help you, but I would be interested in seeing it.
It is a really cool idea. Jo |
Raph...
Are you saying this independent TMNT movie is already done, or was a work in progress or what...? I'm a film major and obviously a turtles fan, so I would love to see it or hear about it or anything you can share. Definitely interested. If you want, email me any information you are willing to share. Thanks a lot. My email is: [email protected]. Thanks. |
Come to think of it, Josh, you could very well be an asset to the project. If either of you wish to read the rough version of the script, post your E-Mail addresses here.

Hey Elite, I'd like to read the script, if that's okay?
|
I definitely want to read this script! [email protected]
Also, I'm curious...is this just a script for fun, or does this really have a shot at getting made? What kind of costumes would you use...brand new ones, or like molds from the first movie? |
