Will Dark Leo appear?

Like since Karai got turned into a mutant and all.

Since there's an argument between him and Splinter about what happened to Karai, what if Leo reluctantly goes to the Foot for help? And since he and Shredder have a common goal in finding Karai, maybe Leo sells his soul to him and becomes his apprentice.

Kinda almost like Stefan surrendering himself to Klaus causing him to become "the Ripper".

That's just my opinion and suggestion... I think.

Shark_Blade 07-29-2014 05:25 PM

Not for the time being.

Shredder is hell bent on destroying Yoshi and his clan, swearing an oath under his "daughter's" name last we seen him, so no. Very unlikely.

I'd love to see Dark Leo in the Nick series, but I don't see it happening. Certainly not at this stage of the game anyway.

would love to see dark leo!

i havent been able to read the comics, but i so badly want to read the idw city falll specifically for dark leo

i dont see dark leo as of now though. and if he is brought into nick, i would see it as more of a brainwashing to have splinter fight against his own son than leo willingly doing it.

i do however, see a depressed and out of commision leo going into season 3

^Totally agree!

Leo might be kidnapped by the dark side at the end of season 3.. maybe season 4. There's just so much going on right now. It would be cool to see but if it even has a chance of happening I think we're going to have to wait awhile.

victory_angel 07-31-2014 12:20 AM

At this point I see Donnie more as a prime candidate for brainwashing and turning to the Foot Clan. However we will see how season three plays out, Dark Leo may still show his face.

Leofan26 07-31-2014 12:38 AM

I hope to Mike this happens in the show, if we get an angry side of Leo as the season goes on out to seek revenge on Shredder more and more what he's done to him in the last battle and to Karai I could see this. More so towards the end of season three, don't know about brain washing but in a more of Shredder is intrested in him joining due to liking what he's seeing in him and maybe he could use this to his advantages of getting that some how :D

Edit;

Why does Donnie seem more like a candidate right now? He's getting every thing he wants in the season final. Leo seems the right choice with what's been going on to him, Donnie and the others not listing to him and with what's been going on between him / Shredder and Karai. All the guilt is going to eat at him for what happened to Karai and what I said about Shredder of course.

I honestly would hate the show if Dark Leo appeared. The show would go downhill by choosing to focus on Leo only. Unless they managed to do Dark Leo better than IDW, ya know without making Leo into a Mary/Marty Sue. The show has three other main protagonists that need a reason to exist and be apart of the show.

Why would Shredder choose Leo in the first place? That decision is very forced and hardly sensible in that world. Leo is not the best fighter. I am surprised at how many fans forgot about how intense Mikey and Raph spar in their spare time. All the brothers train endlessly, usually in other forms besides choreography. Leo seriously needs a storyline that teaches him humility.

Well, to be fair this show has been focusing on both Leo and Donnie not just Leo. I think if they did this it'd give every one on the team a good fair amount of development not just Leo.

If Leo goes down the path of seeking revenge on him no matter what I could see Shredder seeing himself in him and to want to mold him into a pupil of his. Not to mention wanting a replacement for Karai which Leo would be the perfect choice, he was on par in skills or maybe even better.

Ask for strength and skills I'd rather not get into that debate k? That's for another topic.

The reason for doing so just seems forced is all. If they do go down that road I really hope they properly represent the other three brothers. Leo should not be winning through his skill alone but through the help of the numerous amount of foot soldiers and advanced weaponry. Leo's siblings are more than capable of defeating Leonardo, one versus one.

Also IDW's reason for Dark Leo seems very forced as well. The plausibility is laughable, no offense to fanatics.

There needs to be a valid reason for Dark Leo to exist at all. Forcing the character into that position is not a valid reason. Why Leo? Why not choose to harness Raphael's anger and power just like how the Foot chose Oroku Saki. Or why not choose to harness Donatello's supreme intelligence to create a deadlier weapon. Or Mikey for his...um Mikeyness. There are several reasons to prefer Leo's siblings over him because Leo really is just a character who must face his imperfections.

Either way you could say it feels forced even if it happens to one of the other turtles.

I'm sure it'd show an emotional side to each one and show what they are all capable of if this did happen, kind of like that episode Tales of Leo from the 2003 series only a different approach while showing why they are the way they are to this day.

I already explained why it'd make more sense for Leo to do this going by plot from this show, Shredder would see himself more in Leo right now. Shredder is all about seeking revenge which I could see Leo wanting due to the past previous events of this series.

ninja-zero 07-31-2014 11:43 AM

In Nick's case...

Dark Leo's story is about Leo feeling guilty for what happened to Karai. Splinter and him blow heads at each other since she got turned into a mutant but don't know she's a shapeshifter.

Not allowed to search for Karai again and disapproved by Splinter, and the others focused on taking down the Kraang and the Foot, Leo had only one option to save Karai... join the Foot.

Leo enters Shredder's lair and offers him a deal in hopes of finding Karai and curing her. Leo surrenders himself to Shredder and becomes his apprentice. The other mutants didn't like the idea. Except Shredder who sees potential in Leo and he agrees.

He trains Leo in the way of the Foot ninja clan and gives him his own tekko-kagi claw and discarding the blue headband he wears.

After witnessing Leo join the Foot for the first time, the others were shocked as was Splinter.

Raph: Leo? You're with the Foot now!?
Mikey: But... why?
Dark Leo: I'm sorry. It's for Karai's sake.
Donnie: No, Leo! PLEASE don't do this!
Dark Leo: It's too late. It's the only way to save her.
Shredder: Come Leonardo! We have work to do. And find Karai to save her.
Dark Leo: Yes... master Shredder.

Actually it wouldn't feel forced if it happened to another turtle. If Shredder is looking for himself in his next pupil it would be Raphael. Leo becoming dark is very forced because his character contradicts it. Leo has dealt with his anger. Leo really has no reason to become dark at all.

Which is why I am really asking for a valid reason for dark Leo to exist. I already said forcing Leo into that position is not a valid reason.

Donnie doesn't really want leadership, one of Leo's greatest flaw is he doesn't listen to his brothers, he instead goes with what he feels is the right course of action regardless of who agrees with him. A good leader listens to, trusts, and respects the abilities of his followers.

Leo is a traditionalist like Splinter, however Leo has a narrower perception as to what does and what doesn't fit in ninjitsu. So he tries to be accommodating with Donnie's inventions, but he doesn't see any reason for them unless there is a use (Such as the Shellraiser). Otherwise he just sees Donnie's ideas and projects as a frivolous distraction, or in cases such as Metalhead more of a danger then an actual help.

The only things Donnie really wants is to be taken seriously as a scientist, inventor, and ninja and he wants April's love an affection. April he's been pretty much given up on because they've been playing up the April/Casey side for the past few episodes, and in the leaked story board he's pretty much telling April good-bye.

Like Leo in the IDW, Donnie has had an experience as a Dark Turtle. He isn't really brainwashed but it's more that he becomes a darker version of himself after being electrocuted in the OT episode of Night of the Dark Turtle. In that situation he was attacking his companions simply because they were in his way. And the reason he was electrocuted in the first place was because his companions were not taking him seriously so he felt he had something to prove.

Who knows, maybe it would be both Leo and Donnie who are turned into dark versions of themselves, and Raph and Mikey would have to snap them out of it.

ninja-zero 07-31-2014 10:40 PM

This is about Leo deciding to join the Foot willingly in order to find and save Karai. And hopes that Master Splinter will be happy again, even if it means becoming Shredder's apprentice.

Woah, for realz? What is OT? Do you mean 1987 cartoon. I would like to watch that episode of Donny going psycho. Do you know the name of the episodes? if not I will probably find it on my own just by using the power of GOOGLE

To be honest, I am amazed at how no one but me is pointing out the logical errors in that plot. I really wish the cartoon series doesn't turn into an illogical fan fiction. The show needs to go uphill, not downhill. It needs to spread its wings and fly like a peacock!
