You know what would be hilarious? If they did that bit from the movie where Casey and April kiss while the turtles cheer them on, except we get a little animation of Donnie's heart breaking instead of him cheering with his brothers.

I fail to find the humor in that. Besides, the other three know how Donnie feels about April. Why would they cheer on Casey and April kissing? They may be male teens, but even they aren't that insensitive if the "sadorable" ep is any indicator.

They would probably react neutrally to it.

I agree. I mean yeah even if it does seem that Donnie is accepting more and more that April and Casey are starting to become a couple. I think Raph and Mikey might cheer for Casey, or be happy for Casey. They do have spur of the moment insensitivity sometimes, such as when Raph is laughing at April because she's being chased by a giant mutant pigeon, or Mikey when he and Casey are teasing Raph for being stuck in the body of a Kraang.

But even those to knuckleheads would realizes their brother is hurting. Though I can see Raph say "The Dork brought it on himself." about all the pain Donnie's going through. Because while they are supportive of Donnie's feelings, Raph feels that all Donnie is going to get out of it is a broken heart.

I've seen fanfic's where April rejects Donnie and the others are upset with her enough to forbid her from visiting the lair again. But I don't think they'd do that. If she deliberately broke Donnie's heart, then yes she would be less then welcome. But otherwise they can't fault her for being honest with her feelings. So at worst I'd see her avoiding the lair for a bit because things would be awkward between them for a while.

Personally I believe April is aware of Donnie's feelings, but she likes him when he's being himself as her friend rather then his goofy attempts at charming her. So if she likes Casey more, I'd think she'd be honest with him and let him know that she only likes him as a friend. Yes, she will feel hesitant about it because she doesn't want to hurt him, but if she doesn't want to string him along she would have to draw a line sometime where she says "I only like you as a friend." That way even if Donnie does get hurt, he at least knows she was honest with him vs. having him think she likes him only to come across April and Casey passionately kissing.

Also, I could see more humor in that kind of concept if the episode was about Casey ATTEMPTING to get a kiss from April. Donnie could find out one way or another (either a bet between he and Casey or maybe Raphael spills the beans) and enlist the help of his brothers to put a stop to the "date". Lots of shenanigans and so forth. Of course, April would have no clue what Casey or the Turtles are up to and at the end of the day is probably none the wiser. The friend cycle continues.

I wouldn't find that funny, really. What WOULD be hilarious (to me, anyway) is if Casey yells "YOU WANNA TUSSLE?!" in a fight.

Drake and Josh fans will get it :P

You know what would be funny? Donnie and Casey making out playing gap tooth tongue twister, while April crying on the side instead.

Yeah, same here, in fact, the way the writers have written the dynamic of the brothers, I can totally see Raph grab Donny by the arm and treat him to some icecream to sooth the wounds.

Or he can just steer him to the fridge where Ice Cream Kitty is. :P

1. Well. That oddly solved itself. I can deal with this.

I always thought one of the reasons the current creators had Donny have the crush, was to smash out any of the possibility that he might be gay, having a not so manly color and everything.

However, they could totally turn the tables and have April/Irma.

I'm not joking. I thought I read somewhere, it was initially going to be Raph with the crush, until they decided to change it to Donny.

i know that. but it certainly wasnt a decision made because "oh noooo people may think the purple ones GAY because PURPLE IS THE PRIDE COLOUR"

not a lot of people even know that especially children and this never sparked any controversy in previous incarnations so it wouldnt even now

they changed it from raph to donnie supposedly because "donnie didnt have enough personality" which is complete and utter BS
