How are you guys all feeling?
We are only 4 days away from this movie. A lot of people are looking forward to this, a lot of people aren't. Some reviews for this have been good, others not. Some are calling it the worst movie of the year so far.
So, we are only 4 days away from the new TMNT movie on the big screen. How are you guys all feeling? Excited, anxious, happy, not happy? I feel excited and anxious at the same time. I'm really excited for this movie, I have been from the beginning, but some of the bad reviews have scared me, and I really want this movie to do well. I feel I will most likely like it though, because I like Transformers: Age of Extinction, so I think if I liked that, I will like this movie. |
I am still excited its the first Turtles movie in 7 years. I am also a Bay fan too. I don't care what the Critics say. Most critics hated Age Of Extinction and I loved it.
|
I am anxious with anticipation, but it's less excitement for a new turtles movie & more the sort of feeling you get when you're a few days from major surgery. I just wanna get it over with already.
|
Hopeful. Personally I wouldn't assume liking one movie will mean liking this one, TMNT is - and hopefully will stand on it's own feet as - it's own thing.

I feel like most fans will hate this movie, or at best say meh. I just hope this franchise can sustain the damage.

It will never be as good as the original, being an 80's kid there was just magic seeing them on the big screen for the 1st time. It's one of my all time favourite movies and it still holds up well regardless of how many people like to pick it apart, it had genuine heart and soul. Hell, that campfire scene still gets to me.
I'm at least looking forward to a fun time on the big screen. The turtles deserve more than just a fun time sure but did we really expect more from Michael Bay? Maybe one day TMNT will get the Batman Begins treatment (Another one of my all time favourtie movies) but I can at least enjoy the new one for what it is. |
Not sure.
Happy to see TMNT back in the spotlight for a bit. Not sure though of what to think of it until I have watched it though.....

so it's pretty much this:Dandthis:( |
i'm dreading the release of this movie i mean i went to walmart on saturday and tmnt had a whole display of its own because of this travesty
the funny part is that the 2k14 side of the display was totally untouched but some 2k12 action figure racks were completely empty oh god i'm cheering on 2k12 what has my life become i think i'm having an existential crisis guys |
Exited, and a little nervous. I have seriously been waiting for this movie since 2007 hoping theyd green lite a seqeul to tmnt and im only 2 and a half days away from finally getting to see it. I have faith but if for some reason I end up not liking this film I am still dedicated to going three more times because I promised my little girl I would take her to see it and my best friend cant make it to the movies untill a paticular day and promised I would watch it with him and ill be damned after all this wait I wont see it opening night thurs at 12am.....

Those who say it's the worst movie of the year obviously haven't seen Age of Extinction yet.:tlol:
Even if this movie does suck, at least it has the decency to be relatively short. |

that said, i am at least heartened to hear that the director was greatly inspired by the 80's cartoon, so at the very least, i'm cautiously optimistic that the movie will please my inner 9 year old. |
I'm excited. Like many, I was on the fence until I saw the trailers- and the more I saw of them, the more excited I have grown. It may not have the "magic" or the "heart and soul" of the original, but I believe it will be fun, a decent film (considering the material) and enjoyable enough to not be a complete bomb. Also, I am sitting on at least three FREE tix, so there's that. Two will be for me and my hubby on opening day, the third for his friend if he wants to see it with us (and provide the transportation, natch!) or possibly for me to see it again if he isn't interested. I also still have several bottle caps to redeem codes for, so possibly more tix in the future- which will be cool if we decide to go see GotG.

Excited and a little anxious. I know a few people that saw an advanced screening and loved it. The critics have always been hard on tmnt so I don't know if I could trust them. Gotta see for myself.

I'm excited! Besides the designs for the turtles and a few minor things, I've been pretty happy with what we've seen so far.

Age of Extinction was probably not only the worst movie I've seen this year, but the worst movie I've seen in years all together. It wasn't fun in an enjoyable "DERPA DERP, TURN MY BRAIN OFF ENJOY THE RIDE" kind of way, but I was actually wanting the movie to be finished and be done with. It was way too damn long and I didn't enjoy myself at all. I left the theater with like 14 minutes to go. Oh well, they got my money...they win.
As far as THIS movie goes, I'm still excited. As I wrote in another thread, this film is important to me as someone who has loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ever since I was 3 years old. Nothing will ever beat the original 1990 film to me probably. It's a great mixture of the Mirage series while blending things we fell in love with the TMNT from the cartoon. It's a movie that was way ahead of it's time in regards to comic book movies borrowing story beats from it's source material to tell it's own original tale (The Dark Knight anyone?).... I'm still very excited and remaining open minded and optimistic about this week. These reviews aren't going to change my opinion going in of course and I think all of us as TMNT fans should be excited we're getting another film this week! Cowabunga! |
I'm excited, man. I just wanna see iiiittttttttttugh.
|
I actually really like the designs of the turtles in this movie (prepares for hate comments)
