TMNT, Splinter vs the Shredder

Do you think that the turtles, Splinter & the Shredder will be reincarnations or descendants of their past selves in the feudal era?

Like we now know Eric Sachs is NOT the Shredder.

The kappa learned ninjutsu a long time and now the turtles carry their legacy.

But what of Splinter and the Shredder? They're reincarnations of their past selves: Hamato Yoshi & Oroku Saki? Perhaps the Shredder is the II or III Oroku Saki, while Splinter is the reborn Hamato Yoshi.
