TMNT 2014 movie (mistakes)

The mistake I noticed is when April O'Neil as a child in 1999 was filming with a 2013 bluetooth video camera.:tconfuse:

Please feel free to post other movie mistakes on this thread.
Let's see how many we can rack up.

I noticed that too. My dad pointed out that bluetooth did exist in the late nineties, he said he paid 200 bucks for his first bluetooth headset in 1998 or something. Still, camera's like that weren't around, they definitely ****ed up

Something I noticed is April says something like "this is the last can of mutagen" then throws it off the building. Then they use mutagen to revive splinter, so apparently it wasn't the last one

I bet there will be some really sarcastic people saying 'The Whole Movie'

I consider the lack of clarity with April's dad setting fire to the lab and dying in the fire, then later he's claimed to have been shot to death. And was April IN the building when he set it on fire?

Also the mutagen being designed as a panacea, but caused mutation completely and wildly apart from the intention of its design, yet obtaining it is still going to keep the plan moving forward as a panacea.

I assumed that she thought he didn't get out and died in the fire but that he actually died when Sacks shot him.

Not so much "mistakes" as things that break simple logic, but hey, here's a few.

During the hostage scene, Karai is walking around with no mask on, which is idiotic. Subway stations have tons of security cameras (which the Turtles even tapped into), so she should have her face plastered all over the news, shouldn't she? As well, any disturbance on that level would be responded do very quickly by the police. Also, the trains were still running, though you'd have to figure any act of terrorism would result in an immediate shutdown/lockdown situation.

In the climax sequence, the Turtles run into a large hangar area full of vehicles, weapons, gear, and Foot Clan members. This is occurring inside the Sacks corporate headquarters. The Foot Clan have been terrorizing the city for a long period of time, and were shown to drive large and conspicuous vehicles while on their missions. How is it that nobody has ever noticed them coming to and from a major corporate building in downtown Manhattan? And how has nobody who works in that building noticed that there's a large terrorist group operating there? Was there a secret terrorist headquarters included in the building plans? How is it possible that nobody would notice that or ask any questions about that space, at the very least?

There was one point where Raph's lip scar switched sides. I forget which scene that was.

Karai got a nasty slice across her right cheek which was a fresh, open wound in the scene she appeared immediately afterward, but then it disappeared for the rest of the movie.

Another "logic mistake":

When April was trying to prove her story about the Turtles to Thompson and wound up getting fired, didn't she have a photo of the Turtles on her phone? I could be wrong, but I don't believe she ever showed that photo to her boss. Yet, after being fired for following a story without solid evidence, she immediately visited Sacks and showed him the photo, which was clear enough to show they were humanoid turtles. At that time she wasn't trying to protect them and was actively trying to prove their existence. Why wouldn't she be showing this picture to literally everybody?

Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. Part of the story line of the movie. So pretty much, the police dont care, the politicians ask no questions. Money can keep you hidden better than Harry Potters cloak.

They don't care about a terrorist group taking hostages and planting bombs in a NYC subway line in the year 2014? Even if they're completely bribed and corrupt, there's no way the powers that be would be able to keep something like that a secret, much less allow it to happen on their watch.

Besides - did the movie itself establish that the Foot Clan had this much control over the police and politicians, or just the movie summary online? I honestly don't remember.

April not showing the pic to Whoopi. Shredder gets kicked off the building, and climes up a different side he was kicked off of. Raph smashing into the hummer after his shell was cracked. I think I saw the foot start flying before the shipping container hit them. I could be wrong. Did Splinter have some kind of spidey sense? If not how did he know they were going to blow a hole in the lair? Ill try to think of some more.

Ever been to Mexico? The police there are so corrupt that the Cartels can kill and murder in broad daylight. They even kill movie stars down there without getting caught. So it is not in the realm of impossibility. Yes it established Sachs being a rich and powerful business man that the city of NY adores and trusts. Why? because he has his hands in everything. The banquet scene shows how adored he is. Vague but is established.

I noticed that. Did she forget she had the picture? It wasn't even brought up later.

April calling from a pay phone in the lair and it showing up on Vern's caller ID as April

Ah, didn't see much, but I did catch that one. Think he was leaning over Splinter after getting him out of the rubble..?

(Am I the only one that wonders if that scar was partly toothpick inflicted..? lol)

This was bothering me really badly.....I was thinking show her the photo you idiot!!!!

I noticed this in the trailers, when the tractor trailer is spinning it's wheels before going over the edge, the truck goes from having 2 sets or rear tires to 1 set then back to 2.

RaphaelinSTL 08-11-2014 12:42 PM

I could be wrong, but I thought that I noticed that Raphael's scar around his lip changed positions a couple times. It's something my brother pointed out and I feel like it was on the left side most of the time, but switched here and there.
