TMNT 2014 Movie Score Soundtrack

I know there is a digital download for the movie score soundtrack, but is there an actual physical copy I can purchase? If so, where?

ernesth100 10-16-2014 07:47 PM

I like the new film Soundtrack. Especially the First Track and Shell Shocked.

IndigoErth 10-16-2014 11:15 PM

Agree, I like a lot of it. Love that piece that ties much of it together, lots of great stuff and find some bits of it are unexpectedly rather pretty.

At this point I guess we aren't getting a CD though, was looking online the other day and no hint that it's happening. :\ Would love to have a hard copy in hand with the artwork on it, but ah well...found them on YouTube, and might get a few of the MP3 downloads at some point to put on disc myself.

I think they best we'll ever be able to get (i.e., not leaked recording sessions) is the score in lossless 24-bit on HDtracks.

Gunpowder 10-23-2014 08:26 PM

I don't think you can buy it anywhere, and you probably won't be able to anytime soon. Not a physical copy, anyway. But, yes, it's definitely well-done and worth getting.

TheCanadiandrome 10-27-2014 12:19 AM

Damn I'd love a physical copy! Would go good with my four other Tmnt movie soundtracks

Layzie Bone 10-27-2014 01:20 AM

Sup bros man as you may know our song got banned . We got real mad but that's the way the industry works!
Anyways sup y'all! How is everybody doing ?

Bizzy Bone 10-27-2014 01:30 AM

Yeah guys like my big brotha said sometimes the industry can be your biggest enemy within time and space but you just gotta keep it moving in the name of the father the Holy Spirit and praise ALLAH! The tmnt movie would have been a much larger success if they didn't cut our thug turtle track out but we working on a single for the sequel and we gonna keep you guys posted in gods glory until the next millennium

lol.. I love Bone Thugs and Im a huge fan. Yall are silly ^^

but seriously it would've been nice to have physical copies come out and furthermore, Bone would've done way better than the "rappers" on Shell Shocked

I got it from itunes. Absolutely amazing ost!

I also got Shell Shocked.

IndigoErth 10-27-2014 04:55 PM

The hell I just read. Turtles beat the crud out of thugs, not emulate them...

$11.99 for 17 tracks. Not bad, if you ask me.

I have listened to this film score and I must say, Brian Tyler did an impressive job for this movie's soundtrack. It's pretty much on par with (if not better than) his other works in the Marvel films, Fast & Furious series and even video games! I remember a few years ago when I started playing the video game Need For Speed: The Run I immediately felt there's something totally different and awesome about it compared to the previous games in the Need For Speed series, it felt so... theatrical, like I was playing a movie instead of a game! Eventually when I looked up that the music was done by Brian Tyler who usually does film scores, I was shocked and impressed at the same time! :o

Since then I have been following up on his works and man, I was so happy to know Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was going to be done by him too! People can bash the other elements of the movie all they want, but the film score truly deserve its own respect. I'm looping this OST in my car's iPod right now and listening to it whenever I'm driving, and I'm not even sure when will I get tired of it (if ever) :thyper:

For those of you who understand the technical part of music, one of the common characteristics of film scores done by Brian Tyler is the usage of A-chord in place of A-minor (assuming the sequence is in C-major), which in layman's term, converts the part of the music that was supposedly "sad/depressive" into something "mystical/magical". Instruments that he frequently used are brass/trumpets (for fanfare-like sequences), slow & low strings (for calmer moments) and high-soaring choir (for climaxes). There's also his signature drum beats that sound like, the drum has to be really tough to endure the drummer's constant beating/slapping! Ouch! :tlol:

The upcoming films that he is scoring are Fast & Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and I can't wait for those! Here's hoping he will be doing the score for the TMNT sequel as well! :D

For those interested, you can download the complete soundtrack to the film straight through Paramount's website.

Uh, how? I can see that you can listen to it, but how do you download it? (& do you have a .zip of it that you feel like PM'ing me? :))

you would need to download an add-on on Firefox called DownloadHelper, However the files on that site are in .ogg format, Not mp3.

TheSkeletonMan939 11-27-2014 07:23 AM

You can get the MP3 files here and download all the tracks manually. There are 33 tracks (you'll have to change the URL).

Powder 11-27-2014 07:43 AM

Ugh, a pain, but worth the effort. It's not like I haven't had to do these kinda things before. Thanks.

chrisdude 11-27-2014 08:31 AM

Well. That's just a careless way to make a website.
