Ah, that thread was last posted on a year ago. No wonder I didn't see it.

If you like darker turtle stuff, go watch this film!

I was so frustrated that Mikey is the turtle to meet Casey, though. Casey and Raphael exist for one another, in the most bromantic way possible. Mikey can't, and obviously did not, handle Casey. Although, I really liked the line in the end song "If it weren't for Raphael, I'd be dragging your ass to hell." And I liked the goongala incorporation.

Yeah, I watched it - thought it was actually a really good little fanfilm. It's impressive what they were able to accomplish with the budget they had.

I would almost guarantee that the reason it became Mikey was because they actually were able to get Robbie Rist to voice Mikey again (who voiced him in the first 3 live action Turtles flicks in the 90's).

If they weren't able to get him, then I'm sure it would have been Raph.

And that was the best part to me. Rist must still be a fan of the Turtles if he was willing to reprise the voice of that character for a fan film.

That's actually pretty cool! I thought the voice sounded familiar, but I thought it was just a good impression, honestly.

Nah, it was because they found out their stunt guy was proficient in chucks, so they figured he'd be better put to use on a visual level if he was using Mikey's weapons.

Ah ok then, well it was definitely even better luck for them to get Rist to voice it.
