I can't post a thread in the buy sell trade forum for my wants. Why is this?

Perhaps you registered the 8th but were not fully a part of the forums until the 10th? Sometimes it takes a while for members to be able to post. That's why you might see new members names in double parentheses in the "What's Going On?" box at the bottom. They're not completely absorbed into the fold, as it were.
