Do you think Casey knows April "isn't human"?
I mentioned this on the official season thread that based on what the description for the next episode is, that I'm not totally buying the belief that Casey knows that April isn't human.
Now they haven't shown a lot of stuff, or hardly any stuff about what Casey has learned about April on screen. We know that Casey knows April gets "Feelings about things", but in rebuttal to that, we knew about April's "Feelings" since "Monkey Brains" and we didn't realize what that meant until the Season 1 finale. Also I get feelings about things on occasion, so that could be taken a lot of ways. Meaning to me, if there was anything they would reveal on the show, it would be this. But I want to hear what you guys think. Does Casey know about April already, or do you think it will be revealed on the show? |
She's 80% human. Does it matter?
|
The subject doesn't seem to have really come up much since first revealed, so doubtful imo that he knows. If he eventually finds out I can't wait to see his reaction.... lol
|
I wanna say he does....but I'm not 100% sure.

Well from what we can tell by her reaction in Kraang Conspiracy is the revelation that she is a "Mutant" or at least at this time that is what she can be described as. I take it the news wasn't all that welcome, and I don't blame her one bit for being distressed and perhaps a bit overwhelmed by it.
So far Donnie and the other Turtles have been nice enough not to broach the subject with her or even mention it. Instead they have allowed her the time to come to terms with it on her own. And I think April's fear is that the people she sees as friends, Casey, Irma, and her father would reject her once they learn what she is. And while she knows she has a place she can go and people she can turn to if that does happen, it would still be a hard adjustment to living life knowing the everyone else sees you as a freak. |
No, I don't think he knows. There really isn't a reason to, is there? I agree with the theory that she just wants to lead a semi normal life, hanging out with friends without worrying about anything mutant related or of how her mother was experimented on resulting in her having some Kraang DNA in her system.
Even if Irma were involved and knew about everything going on, I could see her keeping it away from her too. That aside, I wonder if the writers just forgot about it like poor Timothy...-_- |

I love that everyone forgets Timothy, even in that retromutagen.
The only concern for everyone was April's dad and Splinter. Not a whisper about Timothy! Lo and behold, he is nothing but a forgettable annoyance! :tlol: On topic, yeah I don't think Casey knows but I don't think he'd mind. His mind's only on dat ass. |
If he doesn't, I really want to see an episode were does find out.
|
He may very well know and if he does he probably thinks it's cool. On the other hand, a reason April would hide from him is if she thinks he might stop liking her and given the fact that he's the most normal person her age who hangs out with her and is otherwise cool with everything else about her, she might not want jeopardise that relationship.
Still, until we know for sure I don't want to put my bets on either table. Spoiler:

So, Casey seems to not be too thrilled with mutants besides the Turtles, I'm still wondering if when he finds out about April not being 100% human, that maybe it might scare him. It's one thing to be friends with mutants/half humans, it's something entirely to be in a relationship with one.

I think the issue would be less of the fact she's a "Mutant" and more about her being part Kraang.
|
I wonder if April is immune to mutagen because she is part kraang or because of her being something unusual. I don't recall ever seeing a kraang exposed to mutagen, so that would be interesting.

I think he knows but doesn't realize the implications.
