Neca real or fake
 

How can I tell if my neca tmnt figures with the colored masks are real or fake? They r still in the package

Did you get them off eBay? You should probably have posted this over in the TMNT Toy/Collectible section....but I've been thinking of getting some NECA colored figures myself. Got any pictures?

I'm 98% sure that if they have color masks then they are bootlegs. Only the red bandanna turtles were genuine. However, there are many red bandanna bootlegs as well. A quick search will show you a lot of pictures and previous discussion about this. Hope it helps.

If each turtle has his unique color bandana then they are 100% bootlegs. If they all have the red bandanas check their plastrons, if they are hard and you can't bend them then they are bootlegs as well, if you can then they are genuine. If they are B&W then they are 100% genuine because they never made bootlegs of those.

Those are bootlegs. These turtles are comic based so NECA never made them with the individual bandanas, they all had red or where in Black & White.

I rather have them like that (I have one of each, a official B&W set and a boottleg red bandana set) but if you don't mind them having different bandanas get them anyway, the bootlegs are 99% exactly like the official ones, just some minor differences that matter nothing in the end, plus, they are really awesome figures, in fact they are my favorite in my collection.
