Question for Japanese food and Sushi lovers
What is Fugu like? i have a curiosity for it and i hear it's safer to eat Fugu in the US than it is in Japan where in Japan some restaurants can have un-liscenced chefs who can screw up and kill guests. And of course Fugu sent to the US is done with certifications and made by certified professional chefs.

I haven't tried it, but I've heard that the trace (but safe amounts) of poison makes your mouth tingle a little, but that's all I can think of.

I've never seen it or had it. I do find it hard to believe that claim you made though, given how by the book this country is and how important good/decent customer service is. It's like no matter where you work, even outside of it, it's expected for the employees to make the company look good.

Ever seen that Simpsons episode?

When i go to Tokyo this winter, maybe i'll try it since it's nice to hear it's safer nowadays and doesn't mean an instant death sentence like Homer

Never tried it. I probably never will as it can kill you.

Only by amateur chefs and you have to make sure the chef is licensed and certified to do that.

And besides making it as Sushi, they also do roasted and stewed and soup Fugu as well.
