Which animation errors in the 80s show bother you the most?
 

The 80s show is well known for its sometimes dodgy animation and is full of errors such as the turtles' bandanas being the wrong colour, the wrong voice coming out of wrong character's mouth, etc. Which one(s) bother you, or amuse you, the most?

For me, it's probably whenever the hands for Krang's robot body are flesh colored. They're supposed to be red! It happens all the time. You'd think such a minor detail wouldn't have been overlooked so much, and I'm a stickler for detail.

I didn't post this as a poll since there are so many different kinds of errors in the show. :P

Whenever one of the turtles are talking, but it's the wrong voice actor. That really bothers me.

Wrong voice for turtles and wrong colors for the turtles.
And I remember the season finale for season 2 Donatello was missing his wrist bans.

I just recently finished watching season 7 and Krang's hands are coloured wrong a lot towards the end. :P

o.O I'm usually pretty observant, and maybe it's because I don't tend to put as much attention into the villains, but I have to admit I don't think that ever really quite caught my eye. lol

Can't say too much bugs me really, it's no biggie to me. At most maybe the already mentioned wrong voice issues a little. I mean... I can understand if a colorist maybe didn't have enough reference for the frames they were working on when you have characters who look alike. But voice? Oh come on now, that should be clear in the script, how do you mess that one up.

"Donatello's Duplicate" ain't got nothing on that scene.

Pretty much when the wrong voice is coming out of the Turtles.

None of them irk me, they're hilarious & part of the series' charm.

Agreed, I actually enjoy the animation errors in this show and they make me laugh.

I agree also. But a few do get on my nerves, like Krang's robot hands.

There's also one episode in Season 3 where Krang is colored red for the entire episode instead of pink and his eyes are a different color too.

The visual mistakes bothered me a lot as a kid. Even as young as 7, with the title screens. I used to say, "That's Michelangelo with the swords. It should be Leonardo!" Or the other one, "That should be Michelangelo eating pizza, not Leonardo!"

There were a few that bugged me as a child and always will.

1. Krang suddenly n his bubble walker instead of his android body from Get Shredder through his final seven appearances. Never got the point of the bubble walker appearing randomly considering his android body.

2.The whole two turtle vans thing in New York's Shiniest.

3. The two Donatello in Were-Rats From Channel Six.

4.In the syndication episodes with the title screen a lot of them featured Leonardo with a yellow mask. What is the deal there?

I often wondered why the wrong VA spoke for a turtle. I wondered if the script got it wrong and did not match the story board.

I remember noticing stuff like that, but it didn't make me angry or anything. I was much more disturbed when they purposefully substituted voice actors. I dislike me some phoney Donatello.

Krang's android body was damaged at the end of season 7, leaving him in his bubble walker for the whole of season 8. :P

I remember the shade of red being so bright it hurt my eyes. :teek:

Yeah, this for me. I hated the substitute voice actors for Donatello and Raphael.

It's interesting to note that Cam Clarke and Townsend Coleman voiced Leo and Mikey for the entire run.

Donatello's VA was the president of the screen actors guild and was studying law at the same time he was working on the show, hence his absence for a few episodes.

As for Rob Paulsen, I imagine his hectic schedule voicing about a billion cartoon characters in the 90's caused him to miss some shows.

As others said, I found them charming.

I hate that too. Raphael's sub voice I don't mind, but Donatello's is dreadful.

Yep, this makes complete sense. The harsh reality of being great at VO. :P
