Would You Consider Kraang Prime Female?

Since Kraang Prime is voiced by Roseanne. Of course I know the VA of a cartoon character is sometimes irrelavant(i.e. Bart Simpson), but, anyway if KP is female wouldn't that make her/him/it an extremely powerful entity, considering she/he/it rules and entire dimension? Again I'm not entirely serious the thought just popped into my head.

It would just make them more like a insect colony. I would end up wondering more about their biology and maybe gender roles.

IndigoErth 10-08-2014 10:48 AM

I've only ever read it mentioned as male, and the Turtlepedia site lists it as male (although I can't say I have any clue where they get their info from), but personally I can't not hear Rosanne so I kind of automatically view it as female.

Not quite sure I want to know how all that works where the Kraang are concerned. "I feel scared."

Kraang Prime it's a dude?!
And I thought that it was like the queen be of the Kraang...

Coola Yagami 10-08-2014 11:19 AM

This thread needs to be locked... Before cybercubed posts and brings on the shitstorm.

But for the record I think she's female. They have the hive mind goin on and KP is the queen bee.

travelingcat 10-08-2014 11:21 AM

People think it's female? KP struck me as male. Though it would make a bit of sense since the Kraang have a hivemind thinking.

I assumed all Kraangs are genderless. Heck, we don't even know how they reproduce. Do they lay eggs, or they just split-multiply like an amoeba? :teek:

Luckyday 10-08-2014 11:37 AM

I like to think that they reproduce in a similar manner à la Ridley Scott's Alien.

Yea, if the physics of their dimension are that different from ours I can only imagine their biology is too. They appear to be gastropod-y, yet they have bones. *shrug*

Mellie 10-08-2014 12:06 PM

I don't really think of gender when it comes to the Krang.

I thought they are closer to squids, with tentacles and all, although squids do have gender and do lay eggs.

That's why I said they should be genderless. And if the mutagen-infected Squirrelanoids are any indication, creatures from Dimension-X probably multiply by splitting.

And then there's the Kraathatrogons who feed "milk" (mutagen actually) to their young, like mammals do. I give up :tanime:

Metalhead 2.0 10-08-2014 12:24 PM

kraangs ain't got wangs.

ShelleyQuick 10-08-2014 12:40 PM

 some of these responses had me chuckling out loud at work, I'm glad people took it as light hearted as it was intended. :)

IndigoErth 10-08-2014 12:45 PM

Maybe that's what this whole mutation thing is about... they're just jealous of earth creatures.:tlol:

Look, slug people. The new in-show cartoon that attacked the slug people in the first episode is a euphemism for ending mutagen addiction.

ObiWanFan4life 10-08-2014 01:11 PM

It's a question best left unanswered. :teek:

pannoni1 10-08-2014 01:17 PM

Since it is unknown based on what we know so far, I assume that the Kraang Prime are genderless. The regular Kraang don't have a specific clue as to what they are since all are. I wasn't sure if the original Krang from the OT was male or female until many years later. My opinion leans toward the amoeba theory despite the assumption of being all-male.

BubblyShell22 10-08-2014 01:21 PM

I remember watching a behind the scenes clip on Nickelodeon where two kids were with Ciro talking about what was going to happen on TMNT before the finale aired. Ciro showed them Kraang Prime and confirmed that KP was male, so that's how I've always taken it. Though I do agree that it's hard not to hear Roseanne and automatically assume it's a female.

CyberCubed 10-08-2014 01:32 PM

Ciro already confirmed Kraang Prime was male. I'm baffled this is even being discussed. Anyone who thought Kraang Prime was female was out of their minds.

BubblyShell22 10-08-2014 01:43 PM

And here we go. No, we weren't out of our minds because I thought it was stated somewhere at first that KP would be a queen bee type of leader, so we assumed that she was going to be female. We know now KP is male, but to imply that we're all out of our minds for thinking differently is dumb on your part. Oh, wait, I forget who I'm talking to.
