Elevator Scene

Is it just me or is the elevator scene in the new tmnt movie freaking hilarious

IndigoErth 10-14-2014 11:47 AM

One of my favorite parts, and one of the only bits of actual down time. I so badly want to see the full scene uncut.

I love when Mikey starts up and Leo looks at him like "Wtf..?" It's like, "This is one of the most serious moments of our lives and I am completely bewildered how anyone could be goofing off right now." He tries so hard to remain serious... and then can't help himself.

Although really guy, you know better than to do that with the blade edge...

I love that scene.

The one scene that just about EVERYONE loved even if they hated the rest of the movie! :)

I think there was a video or something that mentioned that piece was pretty much entirely improvised? Think I vaguely recall hearing or reading that...

I love the fact that they write this holey script, include all these effects, put so much attention on Megan Fox, insert Knoxville as Leo (who I think is not the one heard in the elevator?), try so hard to make everything so completely epic... and what's the part everyone unanimously loves? The short little piece that was largely improvised when the actors were just able to be silly. :D

Seriously, I could watch a movie of just these guys doing their thing at home and driving each other crazy. Like watching two hours of Big Brother, TMNT style.

I liked it. Only time I laughed.

Probably the only good scene in the whole dang film.

That and Shredder beating the snot out of Splinter and the Turtles.

I loved the elevator scene although i was gutted that it was cut short. I hope they include the full scene on the dvd/bluray release as a deleted scene or something.

Say scene anymore? :P

It's hilarious.

But according to Leo's personality in general, I think he would stop Mikey instead.
Well, I don't get to know much about the turtles in this movie anyway.

Shark_Blade 10-15-2014 03:52 AM

Every single time I went to the theater, people laughed so hard at this scene.

I loved it, I don't know what movie you watched but it was pretty clear Leonardo wasn't against having fun.

I like the dance in it. but if Lenard bangs thoses swordes that much all the time, it will be bad for his fighting.

I want to see this too!

So many scenes in this film I wish were a little longer, I loved the elevator scene.
I agree with previous posts that we should have seen more downtime from the turtles

MiamiTurtles3434 10-28-2014 07:45 AM

I thought it was a great scene in the movie :) They where getting pump up lol

pannoni1 10-28-2014 08:27 AM

Until this movie, I associated elevator scenes with closing credits from an old toon, but this was one of the best features, making you take a breather from the upcoming final battle with Shredder with some good puns.

nimajneb 10-28-2014 10:17 AM

I think it was brilliantly executed, from a film making perspective there is a such a flux of action from the mountain through the sewers a comic interlude really allows the viewer to invest more on the big battle.
I hope they keep stuff like this in for TMNT 2

Am I the only one here that thinks that scene pretty much sums up how they ruined the turtles?
