Answer to Rahzar Shrinking
 

Ok, so this has probably been discovered already, but I figure I'd make a post/topic about it just in case.

Ok, so I've seen some people say they find it weird how Rahzar has seemingly shrunk from his first appearance after mutating from Dogpound. And I agree that is true, but I think I finally discovered why he's smaller.

Ok, so I was looking through screencaps of Mikey Has Shellacne, preparing them for upload to my gallery, and I noticed this, near the end.

Notice Rahzar on the floor, that is not the size of the giant monster he was the rest of his appearance that episode, that is the smaller stature he has had since.

And what happened to him a moment before? He was electrocuted and doused in water. I dunno why it would do that, but it most be what happened, the electricity and following water must of effected his just mutated self and caused him to shrink.

Ta da!

I never even noticed he shrunk. :tlol: Granted I haven't watched that episode since it aired.

Is likely what made him nerfed too. :P

Honestly, I never noticed that, so it never really bothered me.

Not really, I just happen to screencap TMNT for the site I help out on, I just happened to be sorting through the caps before uploading them when I happened to notice this. Pure luck, I wasn't really analyzing anything.

The turtles got electrocuted so many times in the show, they never shrunk?

Well, maybe it's because Rahzar just mutated, maybe he was still unstable. Or who knows, but the fact that he's smaller in that screen shows that had to of been what did it, nothing else happened to him.

Could be camera angles, as sometimes that makes certain characters appear bigger.


One way to tell if he 'shrank' is to measure his height between the first episode he appears in and maybe Invasion, since he's standing by Shredder. Mikey is 5'0, Shredder is probably 6'5", so maybe Rahzar is 7'0"?

It's hard to tell how tall he is because they never listed his official height like they did with some of the others. I'm guessing at Shredder's height as I've never seen his concept art.
