Dream casting for the PD Sequel
 

If we must endure a sequel, maybe a few changes to the original line up could make it tolerable, perhaps even GOOD.

In an attempt to be more positive, I though instead of just complaining about the choices they made, we should offer solutions.

So this is a little game called "Fix that movie" to keep us occupied until the news starts flowing.

Here's My first fix:

April O'Neil:
Karen Gillian, in my opinion, was born to play April O'Neil. I'm not in the I hate Megan Fox Camp, but it's clear there are actors more suited to the role. I never liked the other choices presented though, (can't see Ana Kendrick, or Elizabeth Olsen in the role, they feel just as wrong.)

I wasn't initially into, or remotely interested in the show Selfie but Karen totally won me over. Her Charisma is exactly what the sequel needs to win back the audience turned off in the first outing.

Huge bonus points for being a spitting image of FW April.

She does look the part. I'd have to see her acting, but then again....Megan Fox....so...

Heck, it'd almost be a tradition at this point. 2nd movie...new April.

Seriously, watch an episode of Selfie. She was also the blue villain in GOTG.

You mean Nebula? In that case, yeah, I'd be open to her being April. I think practically anyone would be better than Megan Fox.

In terms of just discussing casting... badly broken record at this point, but let Pete Ploszek voice Leo and I'm happy.

I don't care if he's still kind of new or if some of his lines were to come out not quite as they want during the initial recording. If they can let Knoxville just up and record in front of a mic, using his own voice no less (because god forbid any research or acting be attempted), there's no reason they can't do the same with Pete and work with him on that and redo what needs tweaking.

Yeah, again, it's the same sort of thing as Megan Fox; I have nothing against Knoxville, he's hilarious at times, but he isn't really Leo.

So, step 2, Bring back Pete.

What else we got?

She was also excellent in Oculus, which was excellent in itself.

How has nobody mentioned Doctor Who? She was Matt Smith's companion for most of his run. It's only her most well known role to date. :roll:

I'm not familiar with Doctor Who. I simply think she would be a perfect choice for April O'Neil is all.

I would love to have Karen Gillian as April in the sequel. I loved her as Amy Pond in Doctor Who. Anything is better than Megan fox even a plank of wood.

Jeez, someone is snobby about Doctor Who.

It's because EVERYONE is totally into Doctor Who....

(wait...never seen any, hate to be someone to hop on the popular trend. Do have the Peter Cushing flicks at home I've been meaning to watch for a while now. :P)

we don't count Peter Cushing's movies as canon in the whoniverse :P

Seriously though, not mentioning Doctor Who when talking about Karen Gillan is like not mentioning James Bond when talking about Sean Connery.

You're good with the cast? Ok, put another way, if they replaced Megan with Karen, would it bother you?
