Welcome everyone to the TMNT Season 2 Best Episode Tournament. It's Round 2, Match 2. After the first match blow out, will the second match up be a ccloser bout? Round 2 polls will be a 3 day and a private vote poll, unless you decide to post your choice of course. :D.

Last time, The Invasion showed it is indeed the episode to beat after giving a first class beat down of the 17 seed Mikey Gets Shellacne. Any episode that faces the season finale will indeed has their work cut out for them, which will be one of these two episodes next.

If the 16 vs. 17 matchup showed us anything, it's the seed matches that are one seed off will be exciting ones. So it's time for the 8 vs. 9 match. Will the high seed serve it's spot, or will the lower seed pickup the upset again?

This one is actually a hard choice XD (because they are both good and not both bad)

I'm gonna go with The Good, the Bad, and Casey Jones though cause it was one of the few episodes that had him in it and NO love triangle mention! perfect!! XD

also Raph and Case bro moments!

The Good, The Bad, & Casey Jones. The scenes with Raph and Casey fighting against each other and then later fighting together are my favorite of the show so far. :D

This is interesting.

Both Rat King episodes achieved first round byes for these tournaments I've done. If this stands, neither Rat King episode will have won a match despite getting a bye. (#7 seed I, Monster lost to #10 seed Operation: Breakout last year after a first round bye)

Quick question which episode was the winner of the season 1 bracket?

This was actually a tough choice. I went with the good,the bad,and casey jones. There was awesome moments in of rats and men. Such as the rat king returning. I love this version of the rat king...very undertakerish with the trench coat and the hat. Awesome ending with splinter defeating rat king. The best part was one of the best mutants ever..ICE CREAM KITTY!!! Also a bonus to get kevin eastman himself to voice ice cream kitty. All that though definitely took a slight back step to the good,the bad, and casey jones. This episode showed off the full blown casey that we know up to the point where this series is now. Several scenes majority of the episode was a homage to the 1990 flick. Raph was the first turtle meeting him,casey seeing raph all pissed off on another rooftop. The ending where they worked together to take down that one footbot was great as well. They become fast friends and as donnie said it "WE HAVE NOW TWO RAPHAELS" This would be a nice victory to either of these episodes because which ever wins has a tough tough task taking down the invasion. Not going to happen.

Two great episodes. Hard to choose. But "Good, Bad, and Casey Jones" wins it for me because it was more original, whereas "Of Rats and Men" was basically "I, Monster" Part 2.

But "Good, Bad, and Casey Jones" did a lot of referencing from the original TMNT movie?;)

I see that as a good thing. :twink:

By "original," I meant in the context of this show. It was more of its own thing, not just a continuation of a previous episode.

The Good, The Bad, & Casey Jones got my vote in round #1, and again in round #2 here. Round #3 is going to be interesting if this one gets through... Leo one-shot vs Raph one-shot! Especially since we seem to have more Raph fans here than Leo's :tlol:

Of Rats and Men was good with the return of the Rat King, though it's a lot like I, Monster with bigger mutant rats. It wasn't even in my original top 12 seeds to begin with. Intro of Ice Cream Kitty was a nice touch, but we have enjoyed seeing ICK even more in later episodes like Pizzaface and A Foot Too Big, not only in this debut episode.

Have to agree with most of you, 'Of Rats & Men' is basically the same as it's season 1 counterpart. It's a good episode but lacks some originality. Of course, there's ICK and she's just awesome! :lol: But I see her more as part of the B-Plot.

So I'll give my vote to 'The Good, the Bad & Casey Jones', we finally get to see Raph and Casey together and man, am I loving these two! In general I'm a big fan of the bash brothers trope.
Oh, and awkward Raph apolizing to Leo always gets me. So cute. :anime:

I chose Of Rats and Men. I like both choices here, but I liked the Rat King stuff more given the different take on the character and the creepiness surrounding him.

With the Good, the Bad, and the Casey Jones, I was okay with the ep, until maybe the second half when Raph and Casey went off by themselves to catch that Footbot. I don't know why, but it kind of bored me. Loved the first half though.

I'll go with Of Rats and Men, since I like Rat King's death scene at the end.

I don't think he died. Something probably broke his fall and he is probably weakened for some time, but he will return, as all villains do.

Well I should put as his "death". :P

Dammmn. Although I like ORAM, TGTBACJ wins simply because everythings perfectly executed. And the Mirage one-shot/2003/1st movie homage doesn't hurt

This is how I feel whenever it turns into the Donnie/April/Casey show. I love Apritello, not just to the point that it kicks the other three Turtles off into the abyss somewhere, and it's making Casey into a complete git.

While I do like Of Rat & Men a lot, especially the introduction of ICK I gotta go with The Good, The Bad and Casey Jones.

Being a Raph fan, this was pretty damn good. There was great character development for him, lots of little nods to the 1990 movie and the 2K3 series and I liked seeing Casey and Raph's relationship develop. I actually thought the chasing scene wasn't boring at all, they had to work together due to the gravity of their situation and in doing so saved each other's lives which then developed into a mutual respect.
