Who is your favorite character in the IDW series so far?

The subject is in the title baby. Real simple, who do you like the most?

Maybe not my favorites, but I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed Bebop and Rocksteady.

Too bad there's poll limit of only 15 options...

Karai because ninja girls are so cool...and it's a geek fantasy...:D

So basically the same reason people like Elektra, Psylocke and Ibuki? Cool.

I really like how they're handling Shredder, so he got my vote.

Thoughtmirror 12-28-2014 05:30 PM

It's a toss up between Leo and Raph, but Leo won my vote for the IDW series.

FunkyDoesIt 12-28-2014 05:44 PM

Voted for Shredder too, I realy enjoy him and he brings a lot of depth to the storie!

I wish I could've voted for both Bebop and Rocksteady. Their characterizations work because they're a pair. If they had nobody to talk to, it'd be a lot harder to show just how casual they are about destruction, violence, and crime as well as how uneducated they are and their overall desire just to fit in and be useful to a greater cause.

They're essentially a couple of goofy best friends that both got to become the Hulk while keeping their ability to have casual conversation and go about their day as if being nearly invincible is just no big deal. If you were to separate them and have them go through separate character development, it would be so much harder to get these things across without reducing either one to just a dumb generic henchman or some sort of mopey outcast looking for somewhere to belong.

On one hand, they're the baddest dudes you've ever met, but on the other hand the way they act reminds me of a couple of puppies that are excited to go play outside. I voted for Rocksteady, but my vote is really supposed to go toward the both of them because their amazing portrayal in this series wouldn't work all that well if they were apart.

I voted for Alopex, as I've really loved her development and her character is so interesting and different. I noticed Hob wasn't on the list, though, and I probably would have voted for him, and for much the same reason. He is becoming one of my faves, as well. Of the rest, April, Casey, and Mikey round out my top five, though I really like this Splinter and Shredder, too. Karai and Donnie, too. Heck, I have YET to find a character I DON'T love!

Well there was a 15 option limit, so someone needed to be put in the other category. I would have included him but Alopex seemed more popular so I went hith her.

VaughnMichael 12-29-2014 07:56 AM

I voted other for Hob.

Candy Kappa 12-29-2014 08:55 AM

Pete.

Nah, I'm really like Hob and Shredder in IDW.

Duke Nukem 12-29-2014 01:57 PM

I went with Shredder, his story in this one, combined with the reincarnation aspect, definitely makes him a more serious villain than in most other TMNT stories. He's right up there with Ch'rell for being an actual threat, though this one doesn't seem to want to destroy the entire planet.

Joey Kamikaze 12-29-2014 02:05 PM

This is my favorite version of Shredder by a long shot, and I like how Don is growing over the series, but I'd have to give it to Hob. He's the wild card in IDW going forward.

And boy do I grin when Bebop and Rocksteady show up. They're perfect.

snake 12-29-2014 03:26 PM

Shredder or B&R.

Tazi 12-29-2014 03:42 PM

Old Hob. Obviously.

Yes and because this version actually has a sense of strategy and can think clearly unlike other past versions with the nick version included, who were loose canons that strike first without thinking, but this version can think ten steps ahead and you don't not **** with a man who can think ten steps ahead.

Duke Nukem 12-29-2014 05:56 PM

Exactly, though Krang and Baxter Stockman are also excellent strategists, and ruthless besides, I think the mix between Utrom technology and Japanese mysticism that made Shredder what he is now, also make him a far more interesting character.

Plasticplayhouse 12-31-2014 08:00 PM

Idw wrote so many great characters, but I'd have to say bebop & rocksteady. They are really funny without being bafoons and they display a legitimate force.

pingclang 12-31-2014 08:40 PM

Er...Raph, like always.
