Looking for Spanish-speakers on the forum
 

Hi,

I would like to find some Spanish-speakers forum members to talk about the TMNT. Anybody? Thank you.

Why do you want to talk to people in Spanish? What's the difference?

Are there Spanish TMNT forums? I would assume there must be forums for most popular series' in various languages, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Maybe it's their native language and easier for them than English. It's not exactly an outlandish thought.

I speak Spanish, but I was never really taught how to read it or write it. You can try PM'ing me, but no promises on spelling and whatnot.

Why not? I can express better thoughts in my native language, and share with people that cannot speak English, only Spanish. We also fans of the TMNT.

I think an international sub-forum might be a good idea.

Well I know Spanish but I prefer speaking in English. I barely speak about TMNT here in English so I think I'd do it even less in Spanish hehe.

The drome is pretty small and it's the biggest TMNT forum. Yeah, there might be some very small fansite but overall I doubt there is anything TMNT exclusive for discussion in Spanish since the franchises influence is even smaller than in the US.

There are Spanish language exclusive TMNT comics, for one reason.

There were back in the day when the TMNT fad was at its peak. I've been living in Mexico for a few years and I've looked for them in many places and have found none, you can only get them at "Mexican ebay" for outrageous prices, and not because they're in high demand but people here think that if no one else is selling the item it must be super rare and expensive when all they have is an old comic most people don't remember in questionable condition. TMNT in latin-america was big during its peak but it faded quickly because of Saint Seiya, Power Rangers and Dragon Ball, which all came out immediately after the peak. So it's actually kind of forgotten around here I think since those other shows had a bigger impact. America didn't get Saint Seiya and only got DBZ many years later. There's definitely fans but not as many hardcore fans as you might think. Hell look at the drome and how lonely it is in proportion to how big TMNT was, even here it seems that TMNT didn't make as many "hardcore" fans and only casual ones.

Really? That's great. Where? I would like to see the IDW translated into Spanish. Donatello's "death" was big news among comic lovers and TMNT fans in Latin America.

As far as I know there is no Spanish TMNT forum with minimum activity. I know some about action figures collecting but in Spain at least TMNT is not a big collectable.

:tcool:Gracias. He visto una página web de comics, sin embargo todos son de DC y Marvel. Les envié un correo y no me han respondido. Hace poco que estoy leyendo historietas de las Tortuninja. Ellas son famosas y deberían traducir las historietas que han salido sobre ellas a nuestro idioma.
