Blu-ray already!
Ok, seriously. A great looking show like this not even on bluray like Clone Wars? Why?
And why are they releasing all the episodes on single dvd spread over a lot of boxes (thats taking a lot of space on a shelf!). Release full seasons in boxsets and bluray! :x |
The Nick DVDs are aimed at kids and are done cheaply so their parents will buy them for them.
I don't expect blu-ray sets until the show is over. Those will be aimed at adults. |
They never did that with the 2k3 TMNT. I hope they release in Blu-Ray the 2k12 series soon.

Why are you telling us? Send Nick an email. Complaining here won't help.

Thread title = misleading.
Shame on you, O.P. |
Also? Most people truly don't care. When pressed, a significant chunk of people admit that they can only perceive negligible difference in picture quality between DVD and Blu-ray unless they have a certain size TV. And, as mentioned, little kids completely don't know or care. So, if you're Nick, why spend the money? I wouldn't.

It doesn't bother me that Blu-ray isn't available for this series yet. There are HD releases available digitally for those who care about visual quality. And then there are DVD releases for those who wants physical media. Of course Blu-ray release would be the best of both worlds, but it's not like we're missing anything now.
It's probably much higher cost to make Blu-ray Discs than good ol' DVD, and releasing them both at the same time would certainly mean that DVD sales is going to trump BD sales big time due to the lower price for the same content (parents/kids don't care about video resolution). If they only release BD without DVD, people who don't own a BD player would be left out. So it only makes business sense to release DVD first, and only consider Blu-ray when the TMNT franchise is much more stable financially. When that happens, they might even have the budget to include more bonus features for the "collector's set" or something. So guys, be patient :twink: |
They don't know opportunity when there's clear demand for the blu ray.
Don't want it? Fine, your loss Nick. Legend of Korra already has Blu Rays for it - all 4 seasons! Damn Nick you suck. |

Why good cg show already got there bluray seasons each years (targeted for kids) and not this one? I'm seriously wondering. I don't want those cheap kid DVD. They don't want to release on bluray? Fine. Just release single seasons set. |
Why are you asking me? Again, you're preaching to the choir. Go contact a Nickelodeon employee.

This show would look great on Blu-Ray.

Because twenty-some people of a franchise's related forum? Demand that ain't. Other than this forum, I've seen a grand total of 3 people make a defiant urge for this show on blu-ray. I want to see on blu-ray also, but I'm not blind. There is no mass clamoring as everyone on here keeps saying. Add about 999,980 more people to that number and then you can say "clear demand". Until then, sorry. Nick will laugh at you until they turn blue in the face. |

Someone can explain why they keep releasing those cheap kid DVD? It's like we are back at the beginning of the 2000 when DVD were new and they were releasing everything in those cheap DVD until someone decided to release season boxes (well, the ones that doesnt take more than 1" of space, actually). |
I already did explain it.
|
See my explanation too :trazz:

That's like saying when you buy a new phone, your old phone would be bought for nothing. Doesn't make sense. If the Blu-ray ever comes out one day and you buy it, you can always give the DVD to someone else. Besides, just in case the Blu-ray never comes out, at least you'd still have the DVD to keep. |
