Weird closing credits question
 

Okay you know the old cartoon's closing credits where the turtles and April are standing 'frozen' somewhere underground while the credits roll? Am I the only one who's ever wondered what/where that undergound place is?

I tend to think it's the sewer's, but then wouldn't there be more pipes and stuff? It looks like it could be a large cave of some sort, that's a possibility.

Also was that picture in the closing credits actually a still from some cartoon episode? Like one of the early ones maybe? I never recall seeing April and the Turtles anywhere like that in the series, although it's been a very long time since I watched most episodes.

Weird question, I know, but for some reason it's really bugging me! I think I've got too much time on my hands! LOL. :P

Yes you are correct. It is in one of the earlier episodes that they go there. I am not sure which one it is though.

Its from Enter the Shredder I think when they are searching for the technodome

Yeah, that was the scene in the second episode where they went searching for the Technodrome right after the turtles were eating breakfast

Yes, Enter the Shredder is the episode in which the 1st ending credit snapshot is from. When April is saying "What a story! Come on we gotta follow it!" Here's a trivia question, who can tell me what episode the 2nd ending credits pic is from. I'd ask for the season 8 ending credit pic too but I'm not sure myself what ep that's from.

I think Season 8 is from Get Shredder!. Something's telling me that the second ending credits pic is from Donatello's Degree...or Son of Return of the Fly II...

Nope, you're wrong about the 2nd ending credits Rez, I'll give you a hint, it was an episode that FHE did NOT release on an official vhs.

it's not supposed to narrow it down too thoroughly, it does narrow it down by about 16-20 episodes though.

Alright nobody guessed it, the correct answer is Bebop and Rocksteady Conquer the Universe. In that point of the episodes, the TMNT had just been zapped by the anxietron ray and had jumped down an elevator shaft to get away from Bebop and Rocksteady.
