How old was Shredder?
 

Sacks claimed Shredder raised him from childhood, Fichtner was 56 when the movie was being filmed.

So was Shredder meant to be 80 or something?

I suppose it's not impossible that, say, a 25 year old Shredder took a 10 year old kid under his wing or something, but even still, that was a lot for an old guy in that metal suit.

At this point there's no telling where they're gonna go with Shredder. They'll either pull out some immortal/resurrection BS like in IDW or make him an alien like in the 4Kids series. Infact wasn't it suggested a while back that they were going to go with his 4Kids origin?

That's what happens when you do last minute rewrites and reshoots to change Sachs from being the Shredder. Things don't make sense.

I have heard no official statements or credible rumors about that. Personally, I have speculated that the mecha-suit was a reference to the Utrom Shredder, I suspect others have as well.

But if it does turn out he's an Utrom in one of the sequels, I'm gonna get a smile on my face. Both because it would ignite some nostalgia for me, and because the film makers would basically be trolling by saying "What? It is faithful to older TMNT material, that's what you wanted right?". That would be awesome, quality of the movie itself be damned.

I reckon Yoshi was 25 when he married Tang Shen. Add 15, so he's 40 now.

Uh, what? Yoshi wasn't even mentioned in this movie dude.
