CM Punk Auditoned For An Unknown Role

Punk, an outspoken comics fan and budding comics writer, delivered the news himself at a special spotlight panel during this past weekend’s Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). While discussing potential projects, Punk let it slip that he recently auditioned for a role in 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Punk wouldn’t reveal the role, which is still officially uncast, however.

With the role of Casey Jones already claimed by Stephen Amell, it’s tough telling who Punk could play. The next obvious roles would be Shredder’s mutated soldiers, Bebop and Rocksteady, who were just confirmed for the film. But if Punk were to portray the anthropomorphic villains, he would most likely do so in a motion capture role.

Yeah, has to be Bebop or Rocksteady. Unless we're adding even more that we don't know about. (Kinda hope not, the poor Turtles need some amount of breathing room.)

I'm not too fond of wrestlers in movies as they not good in acting. I'm ok with The Rock now as he's done a lot of movies and has gotten better.

I wonder CM Punk auditioned for Casey Jones but obviously didn't get it and they liked him a lot and got him another role.

Maybe Bebop or a Purple Dragon.

I had interest in the idea of him as Casey, but beyond that, I'm not sure he's got a place in the series. Nothing about him says Bebop or Rocksteady to me, so...

unless they make the foot ninja's this time around that is the only other role I could see Punk in as like a lead foot.

He's trying out as Angel. Trying to broaden his horizons. All the best actors have played girls once.(travolta , Pinette)

Would have been a more believable New Yorker Casey than Amell.

He has already attacked Super Shredder, he is ready.

Casey, Bebop, or Rocksteady. Although I'm excited to see Oliver Queen as Casey, I think CM Punk would've killed in that role.

There's also a chance that he could've been auditioning for Hun. I mean, they threw Karai into the first movie for like, at least 25 seconds :roll:. I can see them pulling the same thing here just to put asses in seats.

And hell, what's another villain or two added to the lineup at this stage?! If the Turtles are taking on Bebop and Rocksteady, Splinter will probably get set up against Shredder 2.0 (aka: The Rematch), the most Sachs and Stockman will do is to stand in the background making glib remarks, which leaves Casey needing a human foe to battle.

wrestlers don't make good actors, you guys must be fans of wwe which is why you like him..

Also, he better play himself. He was definitely the best thing in wrestling a few years ago.

Phil's a boss, he can do whatever the f*ck he wants and I'll support it.

To clarify, I'll never support this awful production, but I'll support him in being in it if that's what he wants to do. I kind of think it'd have to be worth his while and not too-small of a part for him to even consider it, but at the same time, not a huge time-sink given his UFC commitments. He's training almost every day preparing for his first fight, so any role he'd be up for probably isn't anything that would require an enormous amount of commitment. But, he's also got a lot on his plate right now and is picking and choosing what he gets involved with, so I'd have to think it would have to be a big enough part to at least be noteworthy, not a cameo that might get cut. Guy hates to leave his house, so he wouldn't likely sign on for a tiny part that might not even be in the movie; he'd consider that a huge waste of time.

I'm guessing he could be the human actor and the voice for either Bebop or Rocksteady, because that's the kind of thing they could do in a week, tops. Who knows if he'll get it, but it sure wouldn't hurt anything.

Keep in mind he apparently hasn't gotten any part yet, so people should relax a little bit. But if he does get a part, it'd officially be the first good piece of news we've gotten from this film franchise in over three years.

Megatron's clearly never seen the guy actually perform, as he's easily a better actor than 90% of Hollywood. He could probably be huge in movies if he wanted to. Maybe not a lead guy but he could probably do a ton of supporting roles. He's great. He's got cult-leader levels of charisma.
