What we can figure out about this movie

So from what we can tell so far about this movie is:
  1. There will be a scene during a costume party, April is attending it.
  2. There will be scene where April is being chased holding a purple canister.
  3. The Foot Ninja have had their costumes changed from the iron masks, to the more recognisable bug eye costumes.
  4. Baxter Stockman will be wearing formal wear.
  5. The new vehicle will be a garbage truck painted like the party wagon and "Tartaruga Brothers" painted on the side like the second Battle Shell.
  6. Bebop and Rocksteady will be in the movie.
  7. Shredder and Sacks are returning.
  8. Casey will be in at least one scene during night time.
  9. Some scenes will be filmed in a more rural area.

Not much to go on as of yet but I do get a rough picture in my head.

Baxter has taken control over Sack's assets. He is working with the Shredder to create Bebop and Rocksteady. April finds out Baxter is up to no good, possibly through Sacks. Baxter holds a party to celebrate how he managed to salvage Sacks industries or something. April attends this party to get access to Baxter's labs. She steals something important. She chased by ninjas and is rescued by Casey. The Turtles', Casey and April flee to the farmhouse. They build a new combat vehicle to launch an attack on Baxter's lab.

That's more or less what I can interpret from what we know, obviously it's lacking in clear details but I'm not going to throw out something that is too speculative.

Let's not forget, there will be some sort of car chase taking place on a freeway in Buffalo.

Platinum Dune is not only Michael Bay. You guys are obsessed with him. Andrew Form is less famous than Bay but in the first movie he was present every day on the set and you can see him in promotional videos either. We see Bay only in the premiere. You should target Form instead of Bay. Read the Tohoru Masamune interview, he said the same thing.

You did notice the AND part right?

And: used to introduce an additional comment or interjection

Like Also or in addition to. In no way shape or form did i say Michael Bay= PD or Platinum Dunes=Michael Bay.

In the words of Adam DeMamp "Get some Knowledge, Bro."

Form was on set every day, but he didn't do much.

Bay showed up on set once & changed tons of things, for the worse.

Yep.

Not to mention that it LOOKS like a Michael Bay movie in every way possible and he didn't even direct the friggin' thing.

I'm expecting more of the same from THIS movie, especially since we have more of a no name director than the last one.

Here you go, It's very blurry but you can still tell it's a more tradional Foot Ninja design than in the last movie. The iconic eyes are there.

Bay himself said so, there were several articles quoting him.

He showed up late in the game, took a look at what they had so far, panicked because "it wasn't funny enough", and demanded a bunch of 11th-hour changes that ruined any chance of the movie being anything but the worst kind of bad joke.

Basically, when he saw they were trying to make a "movie" instead of a toy commercial he flipped the f*ck out. Probably why the first movie's director got sh*tcanned, and replaced with a guy with no experience. The studio wants/needs a guy who will follow Bay's instructions to the letter and not try and usurp the project, and now they have that.

But yeah, all this information is out there and easy enough to find.

I'll say this and give this movie some credit: I appreciate that, on the surface, they've apparently made the Foot NINJAS look like Foot Ninjas.

But it's pretty much too little, too late.

That does not mean he is solely responsible for everything that goes wrong. Andrew Form has his share of responsibility by being more present than Bay. Some focus on one person. Success or failure of a film is a collective responsibility.

Leo656 04-30-2015 04:28 PM

To a point. But that doesn't mean a thing when One Guy has the magic pen that can overrule every other person's collective decisions.

This really isn't hard to understand. Yes, the movies are a collective effort, but it's all done according to One Person's ultimate "vision" (or lack thereof). And we all know who that One Person is. Thus, it's his movie, regardless of who else did what.

Not agree with that but I'm tired of discussing it.

Leo656 04-30-2015 04:44 PM

You don't have to "agree" with it, but it's the Truth, regardless.

This is what kills me about the internet. Some things are true, and when those things are proven, you can't just say, "Well, I disagree". Sometimes, it simply is what it is. Bay has total control over the PD TMNT franchise. That's the deal! So you don't want to believe it. None of us do! We all wish it weren't so. But it is!

Nobody's entitled to their own facts. However, a good chunk of arguing about this franchise comes from people who outright reject those facts in the name of "being optimistic or hopeful". Well, that's not how life works. Reality's reality, and most often, reality is uncomfortable and tragic.

Which is not what you said here:

Huh.

bushido 04-30-2015 05:10 PM

You guys are right and I'm wrong. Bay is the ultimate devil ! He made the movie completely alone. I admit my mistake. End of debate.

First question: Are you capable of reading criticism of people/things that you have nothing do to with without throwing a huge whiny baby hissy fit?

Circle One: Yes or No
