Pretty easy, here. Mine is whichever horse is the favorite to win the Triple Crown in any given year. I almost cried last year when California Chrome lost the Belmont.

A few years back my elementary school friend Jayne got me interested in Roller Derby league in Philadelphia and I not only became a fan but I made some friends with the leagers. I'd say my favorite player is Goldy. Here's her stats: http://phillyrollerderby.com/player/goldy/

If Kung-Fu is a sport, my favorite athlete is Jackie Chan.

You win on technicality...Pretty sure they (China) have a national team.

Baseball - Yadier Molina (active)
Stan Musial, Ken Griffey Jr. (retired)

Basketball - Stefan Curry, Tim Duncan
Jordan, Magic, Bird

Boxing - Roy Jones Jr. (I was born in Pensacola, there is no 2nd or 3rd place  )

Football (American) - JJ Watt, Le'Veon Bell
Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk

Tennis - Roger Federer
Andre Agassi, Bjorn Borg, Fabrice Santoro

MotoGP - Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden
Randy Mamola, Mick Doohan

Never followed hockey that much, but an honorable mention to Wayne Gretzky. I'm sure he can sleep now.

I don´t really follow any kind of sport in tv.

The only thing I watch sometimes is snooker.
My fav. is Neil Robertson (the thunder from down under )

Braves fan since the age of 9 because of the local minor league affiliate, the TBS Superstation, and my dad was a fan since he was kid. I never got on board the Crazy Train with Chipper but respected him. McGriff was more my kind of hitter.

Wingnut, what about Roman Reigns or the Uso brothers as they were born in raised in your local Pensacola, Florida area.

Football: Peyton Manning. He is one of the very few football players I can respect and admire (although the Broncos did pick up a kid from my school in the draft, so I'll be keeping my eye on him).

NASCAR: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Brad Keselowski. Truex drives for the home-state team, though, so he ranks pretty highly as well. L.O.A.T.H.E. Danica, although I guess she is getting better.

Love American Pharoah to bits.

Baseball: Ken Griffey Jr.
Basketball: Lebron James
Football: Bret Farve
NHL: Brenden Shanahan
UFC: Chuck Lydel

Those are off the top of my head.
