April should be with Casey? Or Donatello?
It seems like it's kind of divided between the 2 but I was wondering who you think would overall make a great couple. April is usually seen with Casey but there has been some connections she's made with Donatello, too.
I feel like one of the main reasons why some wouldn't want April and Donatello together is that they are different species and can't breed. April is a human therefore a mammal and Donatello is a turtle, therefore a reptile, and mammals and reptiles can't procreate. But then it's assuming that they would even have kids in the first place as not every couple has kids. They couldn't have children although of course it doesn't mean they can't get intimate. |

Neither.
I find their objectification of her troubling. |

First of all, this thread should really be in the Nick section.
Second, I find the concept of April and Donatello actually being together to be disgusting. Donny's crush is cute, but I would really hope that Nickelodeon would never actually go ahead and have Donny and April actually dating. |
This is gonna turn odd very fast, I can see that already. lol
Ummm... depends on the version. In most cases, well April and Casey belong together. (Although I question her taste in men. lol) If we're talking 2012, IMO...possibly no one yet. Too soon, let it be older future April that someday falls for Casey as adults. I don't really have any issue with April and Donnie having some light little thing happening with each other in their youth, given that their life situations make it difficult to work in the long run and Casey likely "gets the girl" as an adult. (Speaking of which, when Renet shows up maybe she can settle it for Donnie, if he should keep hoping for it or accept that it doesn't pan out.) |

That tooth-gap would be stereotypical on any other character though.
Mike, because he's a little kid/hedonist. Raph, because he's tough and it's clearly been knocked out. Leo, because he's not the perfect leader we've come to know...not yet. |

Strangely I think the 2012 Donnie is the best version despite the tooth gap. Maybe I like that he's more active. Not that he wasn't active in the other series but he's still competent in the series. I think the relationship could go for either. Really, you can make just about any couple work together with the right writing. There's very few instances where a couple could be totally incompatible so I feel with the right writing, they could make either one work. |
April being the only major human female in the show is paired with Casey who is the only major human male in the show. Not exactly rocket science.
You have a man, and a woman...and they're both humans and friends of the Turtles. Its only natural they would get together, its the natural order of things. |

Well what if this version of Casey is a bit of an ass, never stops being an ass, and she doesn't fall for him. :trazz: I mean, they could both technically find other people and eventually introduce them to the Turtles when they know it's safe to make that choice.
Nothing wrong with having the gap between the teeth. I used to... but unlike me, Donnie just doesn't have access to an orthodontist. :P |

Donnie even goes so far as to call her, "My April," at one point. Rather than just asking her out, they battle with each other to prove that they're more worthy of her. As if she was a prize to be won. |

My favorite would be the IDW version. And what you say is true; there are no bad characters (or relationships), just bad writers. |
