Exams

Mine start Friday. I feel like I'm dying.
Post about exams here, I guess.

Prowler 06-08-2015 02:56 PM

Gonna have one in about 3 weeks or so. I should really start studying for it. You gotta study a bit in advance for University tests/exams.

SophieDem 06-09-2015 04:22 AM

English tomorrow and IT, Literature and History next week. Man I'm so going to die... Final exams suck.

Netkeeper 06-09-2015 06:47 AM

Were exams sapping all of peoples' time and/or being insanely hard just not an American thing? Because when I was in school, all my online friends bitched incessantly about them, but I never found them to be any more of a time sap than any other thing. More than anything they were a time to rejoice because we only had to go to school for half the day on those days.

I never had problems with exams either. If I was in the lectures and took notes during class I didn't have to do much studying for an exam.

I never found the exams much more difficult than any other test. It just lasted longer.

And we got out either at noon in high school or when we were done in college. I loved exam days

Exact same here, except I never had to study at all. Never studied for a thing my entire way through high school.

BubblyShell22 06-09-2015 03:09 PM

Oh, I loathed exams and never really liked taking them, except for maybe English, so I know how people feel. So glad I don't have to do that now.

Amaranthus 06-14-2015 02:29 PM

Way of being supportive, you guys.

SophieDem 06-15-2015 02:34 AM

Just one thing. I don't have huge problems if I have to write a test or something. But oral exams? Please no. I write you 10 pages but please don't make me speak! I just freeze and start to stammer. And... I hate when people stare at me. I just feel like they want to disrobe me and except me to give an excellent lecture. I hate oral exams in a nutshell.

Leo656 06-15-2015 02:37 AM

Sorry dude. It's been a while for me. :ohwell:

Generic Supportive Comment, though. I know it's rough. Hope it's goin' ok.

I was never a fan of written exams either. Too much regurgitating parrot fashion learning for me. Always way better at practical exams in biology and chemistry for example. Been better learning by DOING things, not just reading a book.

All you said was post about exams. Not everyone has the same exam experiences or even anxiety about them. If you want people to commiserate, you should have called this the "I hate exams thread" or something of the like.

Everyone has their own thoughts and not everyone is going to have the same feelings as you.

I was joking though.

BubblyShell22 06-15-2015 04:52 PM

Well, in the future, please put a smiley face next to your post or a j/k to indicate that you're joking. Otherwise no one will know what you mean and will think you're being rude. I sympathize with you on the exam front though, so I wish you luck and hope that you do well. Just remember to get plenty of sleep and to eat a good breakfast.

THGhost 06-15-2015 06:40 PM

Revise thoroughly and you will be okay. I've been there.

You can't tell me what to do. You're not my real dad.

BubblyShell22 06-16-2015 05:57 PM

Just giving you friendly advice. No need to be a jerk about it.

I said "You're not my real dad." and you still think I'm being serious.
Next time I'll say I'm joking in all caps, maybe then you'll get it.

BubblyShell22 06-17-2015 08:44 AM

Or better yet, just stop because you're not good at telling jokes.

C'mon, even I could tell that was a joke.
