Best episode of the season! Great fights, cool story and some great emotional scenes :)

So...I love being an iTunes subscriber!!!
Anyway, that was pretty intense and I am loving Fugitoid more and more! I'm gonna put the next bit in Spoilers since not everyone has seen it yet. Spoiler:

Here we go!

"It's been a week since something exciting" -Casey
Damn you Casey, seriously. (Presses trap for no reason) Do they really need to dumb him down this badly? Come on, we already had the entirety of Wyrm's episode with that, do we really need to drive home the point with it all the time in the space arc? |
Did Raph do a Three stooges move?
|
Aw Leo misses Splinter. And Mikey oh no...
|
Total Recall reference?
|
OMG!!!! Noooooo!!!!! poor Mikey. :o
Phew he's fine. That hug!!!!!, that hug!!!! That hug!!!!! Yes!!!!!! Mikey didn't press the button. |

OMG!!! I loved this episode. It has to be my favourite so far this season. :D
It was so intense. I noticed the Mr Spock hand gesture reference. |

I like this episode.
|
This episode was alright, I wasn't a huge fan of the turtles conflict as it kinda felt akward at times. But I really liked seeing the Triceratons again and seeing Mozar rage, So I liked it more than most episodes this season. I'm not really looking foward to next weeks episode as it's just filker in between story which gets really annoying.

God I hope we see demon april or corupted april in this. Would be pretty cool.

A nicely done episode with a great ending! Some of the plot reminded me a bit of the Eye of Zarnath arc from the OT, but it was a good way to pick up after a break. Also, seeing Splinter in a dream at the start of the episode is a good way to show how he might return later on.
Show Grade: 8/10 |
In terms of how well it's good, I'd say it ranges from being the best of the space arc or the second best, right behind The Outlaw Armaggon! I loved the attention to detail with the Aeons at the end, hooray for a Vulcan reference and a slinky gag with the Fugitoid. Also, any episode in regards to Triceraton focus is a plus in my book. I did have problems though.
The main gripe for this episode is the increase of aggression for the heroes; granted it's explained by April according the dialogue and at the end, but it got old fast. It doesn't help it happened for half of the episode and the dialogue coming down to mostly insults an elementary student bully would state. Granted, the callback to The Invasion with Leo hugging Raph was a welcome sight in addition to the city virtual reality for a few brief seconds. If it wasn't obvious though from earlier, why the hell did Casey have to act like a kid seeking excitement? :ohwell: It really feels that Casey is trying to be way too optimistic based on the writing that it's extremely frustrating to contend with. Last time the excitement occurred, he almost got his friends hurt with Wyrm; even with the reset, I have to ask what is it going to take for Casey to stop acting like a child and mature up? As much as I don't like April too much in this series, at least she's serious when the time calls for it, so why can't Casey? Overall though, it was a relatively up average episode and is among the best of the season for sure at this current time. If they fleshed out the planet a little more and maybe added in a little more elaboration on a few parts, this easily is the best episode thus far. However, with some concepts not well fleshed out to the fullest, it's right behind The Outlaw Armaggon! as my favorite episode, but barely. I'd say it's at least a 7 or 6.5 out of 10, well executed but in some aspects could have been much better. |
Who wrote this one? It was funny and all, but the end felt like a crappy video game with all boring exposition. And so rushed in the final scene!
Really loved Fugitoid again. His whole bit threatening to spank everyone had me laughing out loud. |
I'd probably put this episode right before Armaggon and Wyrm. It was good, but I wasn't too amazed.
