Official Episode Discussion S4 Ep 7: Arena Of Carnage
 

So here we are...the creme dela creme of the Turtles in Space Arc. The Turtles in the Triceraton Arena.

Journey to the Center of Mikey's Mind hinted that the Turtles were wanting the schematics for the Triceraton Mother Ship to they could sneek inside and get that piece of the Heart of Darkness that the Triceraton's obtained.

And today we are seeing the results of that as they are captured and thrown into the fight for their very lives.

From the sneek peak we know that Zanramon and the Spasmosaur will make an appearance.

Perhaps we may see Traximus and/or Monza Ram as well. We will just have to wait and watch.

Could be a question of copyright. Maybe the rights to the name expired and Nick were unable to resecure them. Happens all the time in Transformers, and believe me, it doesn't stop a character from being a character.

Let's see if we get an actual good story for once this season, the Triceraton arena episodes never fail. It can't be that bad, right? :ohwell:

The most over used trope in syfy tv series. The heroes fighting in an arena of illegal games and being trained by the person they end up fighting.

Is that Michael Ironside voicing Prime Leader Zandramon?

Saintsaucy, I said the same thing when the episode started. Nowvall three TMNT cartoons have an episode surrounding the premise granted 2003 and 2012 are adapting the same thing in its own way.

Can it be? An actually good episode of season 4? Hell, even Casey is a good character here! Let's hope the third act doesn't butcher things. But so far, this is miles better than the 4kids version of this story.

Well, I'm glad to say I didn't speak too soon. This is the best episode of season 4 so far without a doubt and the first true win of the season. Great episode!

i enjoyed it. aprils getting stronger. kinda thought that there'd be four triceritons but one giant one was great too.

Well they have now the first piece of black hole generator. Let's see how things will unfold further. The episode was ok.

The shows has a record of starting of the season weak and then getting way better at another point, last season it was episode 8 this season it's episode 7.

One of the better episodes of the season. We start out with a good '90s-style fighting game with classic video game sound effects, and it flows through right to the arena with the battles, a piece of the Heart of Darkness, and a good way to escape, and we now got this series' version of a Battle Nexus. Even if this isn't the most creative idea, it still had wonderful action, especially with Zeno's sudden hammer attacks. I was scared that Donnie might have gotten swallowed up and could have done a Shreddered and Splintered-style escape, but I'm glad he found another way to do it.

Show grade: 8/10

I have to admit, I'm honestly surprised this season finally gives a good episode; putting aside The Outlaw Armaggon! as a personal bias, damn a good episode. Only one main problem though, did anyone feel this episode was a little rushed? The Spasmosaur and the Zeno fights honestly were done a little too quickly plus April and the crystal. Maybe I can go critical later, but for now I'm honestly a satisfied person, though I wish we got a two parter, that would have been awesome.

Also, I believe that was John DiMaggio as Zeno and Zanaramon I'm unsure on. If anyone can correct that or bring it up, thanks. I give it at least a 7 out of 10 overall.
