New Tournament Fighters: Pick the Winner!
 

Now I know "Vs. Threads" are a waste of time around here on the general forums. However, I've got a new fan art idea inspired by the legacy of the TMNT Tournament Fighters video games. Wouldn't it be cool to have a 30th Anniversary HD edition? My fan art hobby is probably the closest we'll ever get.

My first entry in what may become an ongoing series is a hypothetical Multiverse battle between Ninjara and the Ultimate Ninja. The Daimyo's son gave 4Kids Leonardo almost more than he could handle, but how will he fare against the crafty Ninjara of the Archie TMNT Universe?

Pick the winner, and I'll tally the votes after a long enough period of time. Then I'll try to draw up a resolution picture showing how the fight ended. It would probably be a good idea to throw out a voting deadline (April 1st was on my mind), but I don't really draw fast enough to expect a new entry anytime soon.

I definitely have some ideas like Tatsu vs. Hun and Fishface vs. Ray Fillet.

Good thoughts! The Chrome Dome/Metalhead one was already on my idea list, although it seems a little too obvious pitting the robots against each other.

Make sure to mention which character incarnation from the TMNT multiverse you have in mind!

You should pit the winners up against each other, like an actual tournament. That would be pretty neat:).

Yes, the most notable of the god robots vs the most notable of the evil robots. I hope you do it.

The versions? I believed it was implied. Metalhead (1987) vs Chrome Dome (1987), Usagi (2003) vs Trazimus (2003), and Shredder (1987) vs Dregg (1987),

You should have some characters face their counterparts, like Fred Wolf Bebop and Rocksteady vs. Nickelodeon Bebop and Rocksteady

The idea of making it into an actual tournament is a good one, but remember that my fan art output isn't comparable to some other talented folks here like Powder, so it would take me a long time to draw each match unless I just started reusing the same cels for each character. Maybe that's something for a long-term consideration.

I gotta say that I really like the idea of the two Konami originals facing off against each other. Sisyphus would have my vote in that one. He was so cheap that way he could rinse & repeat the hover/grab combo.

Man, I'm not sure that would be a competitive match. Season 1 Rocksteady & Bebop might be able to hold their own, but anything after that would be ugly. Can you imagine how bad of a beatdown it would be if they went up against the IDW counterparts?
