https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ef4vWV63F50

anyone know which episode this is?

None, they made all of those animated clips specifically for Playmates.

Which is really fascinating that Wyrm's first appearance in a tv show, is the Nick show.

I think a good clue is that it's animated a bit better animated than the actual show.

I find it more fascinating that he was treated like a blank slate.

You're comparing a 3 second scene of animation to a 22 minute episode.

Yes, that's probably why they spent more time animating those three seconds, as they didn't have to worry about animating 20 minutes, what's your point?

Because you're trying to make some big deal out of this when its a 3 second scene compared to the shows animation.

Candy Kappa 03-07-2016 07:58 AM

Cubed. You are the one making a fuss about it, it's better animated cause the animators only needed to do 3 seconds of animation compared to a full episode. Meaning more time for frame work, that's that.

Stop being so overly sensitive when it comes to FW.

How am I making a big deal out it? Almost all animated shows use limited animation and that clip didn't, implying that it wasn't from the actual show.

Exactly.

weak! i thought it was real because they also show clips of the turtles, chrome dome, dirtbag and groundchuck, so i thought wyrm at least made a cameo appearance in the ot and i just missed it.

sdp 03-09-2016 03:05 PM

I've posted this a few times already but I totally consider his 3 second appearance int he commercial as canon to the show.

All of those clips were created specifically for this commercial. That's why you see them using their accessories.

Its amazing how much cooler the old mutants from the 90's were than the ones they create today. I'm not sure what it is, the simplicity of the designs?

Its like comparing the original 151 pokemon with the newest pokemon. I think the TMNT mutant characters have the same type of tradition.

^^ Simplicity of design? LIES.
Those designs were super intricate aside from the TMNT and Bebop and Rocksteady. They ll had neat little nuances and funny little gags hidden throughout the figure. Pizzaface had all the pizza toppings all over him, various leg stumps and a missing pinky. Or Halfcourt, dude has a bunch of really neat features and design elements that just make them stand out more.

Ever since 2k3 the figures have gotten more screen accurate and aren't as wacky or unique. (First wave was goo but the streamlining got ridicluos with the Battle Nexus Figures)
2K12 TMNT figures are also whack, with some of the most boring looking figures ever (Razhar,Fishface, Dogpound, Bebop and Rocksteady all suck IMO).
I dunno, I think Playmates just stopped caring sometime during the 2k3 run.

Man I just spent a while looking at those old TMNT commercials on youtube, they were oddly entertaining even when advertising stuff like Magician Raph. I think commercials really were more creative back then for toys.

(sighs) At it again I see. Anything not produced by Fred Wolf is better than this show, blah blah blah.

Powder 03-10-2016 04:22 PM

Stop being a bitter/blind fanboy. These clips have a higher frame rate. Any idiot can see that, or so I thought.

TurtleGuy 03-10-2016 04:54 PM

Whether pferreira is being a blind fanboy or not, was Neatoman's potshot really necessary?

Powder 03-10-2016 05:10 PM

The fact you think it's a potshot makes you one too. :tlol:

Straight up, it has a higher frame rate because it's like a combined 10-15 seconds of animation. Not a whole episode. Therefore, the team was able to put more effort (read: frames) into it. Plus, it was for a commercial. To sell someone on something, you make it look as good as you can.

With how much neatoman seems to hate this show(or at least that's the vibe I get from his posts), I couldn't tell whether it was a statement or a snide potshot.

Or maybe I'm just a dumbass.
