Make the connection (Turtles edition)
 

This is based off a segment in from Muggle Cast a Harry Potter podcast I listen to.

In this segment one of the hosts comes up with a random thing and somebody connects it to something to do with Harry Potter. It doesn't matter if it's far fetched, but it must connect some how. This is game later became Make the music connection where they would take random songs and discuss how they would connect to Harry Potter.

I figured this would be fun to do with the Turtles.

So for example, say the random thing is "Print on Demand shops" Such as Cafe Press, Zazzle and the like.

The connections that people could come up with is
Mikey is depicted as an artist or shown to have a talent for art in some incarnations. Maybe he starts selling prints of his art work on products.

Or maybe that is how they got income while they were staying at the farmhouse in the nick show. April would have shown the other Turtles and Casey a print on demand shop. Donnie, would have done the technical work on it such as the uploading, posting, writing out the tags, promoting on social media. When he wasn't busy working on that medication he was making for Leo. Raph, Mikey, Casey, and possibly April herself would have done the art work for the shop.


So find the connection between Ninja Turtles and Hybernation.

Soul's Winter by Zulli.

The Turtles are hybernated because it's winter and they are coolblooded.

Good connection. You did not need to connect it to a fanfiction. You could have just said. Real turtles hybernate and since the tmnt are cold blooded they hybernate in the winter or more then likely have a harder time waking up in the morning during the winter months

Soul's Winter isn't a fanfic, it's Vol 1 #31-35-36, it's basically a Elseworld story. but also the only time to my recollection that the Turtles have hibernated/brumated.

Something that could have been explored more.

So how do we progress the game, does the person that wrote the connection part write a new word for others to draw a connection with?

Once someone posts they post up something random for people to connect to the to the turtles. And don't worry about it making sense or having to be cannon.

So to progress... How would connect a Japanese bath house.

Should I..?

Since no one offered a response for my random concept of the Japanese bath house.

There have been some people who have wondered where the restrooms are in the lair or have wondered how the Turtles actually bathe while in the sewers.

In Japan not all homes are equipped with shower or baths. So people have to go to a public bath house for their bathing needs.

Also most bathing is done in the shower while the bath tub itself is used as a place to relax and soak. Since the Nick Turtles live in an abandoned subway in the nick version, odds are there would have been a men's toilet and women's toilet. The men's toilet would have been fixed up but would otherwise be kept as is. But the women's toilet would be useless to them as five guys, so it would make sense if the woman's toilet was converted into a Japanese style bath.

Make a connection between the Ninja Turtles and a dying computer.

Donatello's old IBM computer is starting to act up. Realizing he's in danger of losing all of his data, he backs up everything to an external flash drive/memory stick. Eventually, the computer fizzles out for the final time so he asks April to help him find a new computer. Being the good friend she is, April gives Donnie her old work computer.
