Came acoss a manga thing...
http://turtlepedia.wikia.com/wiki/Mu..._Na_Yo_Ningumi
Something about this screams fan made (namely the general plot of Leo going to school), but usually Turtlepedia will state if it's fan made. Again, at the same time, it's the Turtlepedia, I'll take it with a grain of salt. I don't check the comic book section of the forum often, but I'd imagine that someone would've found this by now (hey, who's not to say that the stuff in the article is made up?). Is there anymore info on this? Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! And sorry if there is in fact a thread on this. |
It's totally legit. Problem is, only the first story was scanned & translated. There's virtually no accessible material on the web beyond that, short of a few thumbnails from Japanese Twitter users' photos. I can confirm there were numerous installments, at least 4-5. But no dice on reading them. :(
Here's that first part: http://fahti.tumblr.com/post/8354889...ic-translation |

Sucks that only the first one can be found online, but I was curious because I'm working on this giant drawing, so I wanted to know if it was legit. Still gonna read (and use for reference) what's there though. |
What the hell is this? Hopefully the thing gets fully translated, because the art looks nice.

If we could get scans of it it would probably? get translated eventually.

Leo's eyes reminds me of "Chiyo's dad" in Azumanga Diaoh
And he comes off just as creepy too. |

But tracking down copies of the comics is probably the more troublesome task. |
If we knew exactly what to look for, getting them on Yahoo Japan or something shouldn't be too hard.

Maybe it's doujinshi (fan published)? Amateur artists and writers can skirt copyright law in Japan to sell these at special comic markets as long as they don't have too high a print run. It's a loophole designed to develop new talent and, in recent years, even track how popular a series is. Non-Japanese properties also inspire doujinshi too.

It's from an officially published manga magazine, Coro Coro Ichiban. I already posted a link which states that.
