Does this bother anyone else?

So, the Turtles' shells. They connect on the sides in the Nick show. On the Nick figures, if you lift up the Turtle's arm, it's just green! There is no shell! It would look better with the connected shell. Or I'm just crazy..

Considering that'd just be another detail that went unpainted, it's probably for the best that they don't sculpt it on.

It could either restraint arm articulation or screw with durability

Should look something like this.

Revoltech's turtles have it & they're just fine. It's a very flat addition to make, no hindrance at all if done properly.

In the 2012 series it looks different, I can't get a pic right now but it has a rectangular indent pattern

Well yeah cause the Revolturtles are done way, way, WAAAAAAY better than Playmates but you obviously know that...

blatancy

Of course, but the point I'm making is that it's not a bulky design element, so anybody could put them in without any issues if they wanted to.

Shark_Blade 06-08-2016 08:08 PM

Get revoltech turtles then; they're better built.

Ninturtle 06-08-2016 08:26 PM

They're actually sculpted on the battle shell turtles ( the 5 inch ones )

Personally , I never even noticed.

Mew 06-09-2016 07:06 AM

It's actually probably better Playmates didn't do it. No painted side shell.

Candy Kappa 06-17-2016 02:18 PM

It's there in the sculpting, it's just unpainted.

Not on the first releases from 2012. It's just wrinkles..

Candy Kappa 06-17-2016 02:35 PM

looks like a shell bridge to me, as the lines matches the lines on the outer scutes on the carapace.

It was a quiet day on the homefront.
