When does Mikey get his traumatic beatdown?
 

Leo got his beatdown in the comics and the 2003-2012 cartoons.

Raph got his beatdown in the 1990 film.

Donnie got his beatdown in the IDW comics.


Mikey is the only one left. A beatdown would be an interesting experience for him, whether as a laidback martial artist or an annoying younger brother.

Slash did it in the Nick series. Maybe not to the same extent as in those other cases, but it was still pretty heavy stuff. Emotional, violent, surprising.

He had some rough times in Mirage, too, though nothing too serious. Granted he went off to war & never came back, so... :tsad:

Also In the Archie comic, Mikey was temporary blinded and later he gets captured and tortured.

Most people kind of ignore his real beatdowns because 'HES THE SUPER LAID BACK PARTY DUUUDE!!!!'

He doesn't always have to be that guy.

I thought him getting cucked in Mirage volume 4 sufficed.

Even though the trauma is almost entirely implied rather than explicit, TMNTA #59 struck me as a heartwrenchingly brutal comic as a kid:

Also, the "Turtle Dreams" short story in the first "Turtle Soup" one-shot featured Michelangelo is an extremely critical state. Even in black & white, the descriptions of his injuries and the nightmare imagry were considerably graphic for the franchise:

Verminator X puts Mikey into a coma in the Future Turtles story arc.

He died in 2k3 SAINW so that's good. Well, Raph and Leo died too. I like to believe that is the true future, only Donnie lives.

Even IDW made a similar story like that but with old version of Donnie surviving alone.

I already said Mike got his beatdown in the Archie series, pretty much twice.
