Where's Netkeeper?

Last I checked he hasn't posted in like a month, and was fairly active before that.
Normally I wouldn't give much thought to it - everyone gets busy sometimes - but it's no secret he was having some serious health problems, psychologically.
Has anyone had contact with him within the past few weeks? I hope he's all right.

ToTheNines 09-10-2016 10:24 AM

I've noticed his absence as well, but have no way of contacting him. Hope he comes back soon.

Didn't he have his bubblyshell metldown right before he left? I hope he's alright as well.

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 09-10-2016 10:57 AM

I hope he comes back IMPROVED. More of the same I'm not interested in. But right now his absence can only be a good thing for him... seems like this place was driving him up the wall.

Yeah. I hope he's getting the help he needs right now instead of digging himself into a bigger hole. Hopefully he's still out there...

Snakeweed 09-10-2016 11:13 AM

Hopefully he's alright.

But yeah, a break from this place may do him a lot of good

Cure 09-10-2016 02:01 PM

I don't think he's ever gonna get the "safe space" he needs here.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a "safe space" in a public forum. I mean, you can't control other people (unless you're a mod).

You either figure out a way to coexist, you use the Ignore option, or you leave.

Cure 09-10-2016 02:18 PM

Yeah, exactly.

CyberCubed 09-10-2016 03:42 PM

I'm sure netkeeper is fine. Some people just take a break from forums.

Does everytime someone is gone for a month you guys get concerned?

TheSkeletonMan939 09-10-2016 03:46 PM

Actually, 'Cubed, re-read my first post!

Come to think of it, we never did see Dirty Blonde show up again, did we? The last thread he made said, "I wish I was dead. Period." and we never heard from him since.

I wonder if he's still alive.

Powder 09-10-2016 04:54 PM

He's still posting on Tumblr, so I assume he's fine.

thundermaster612 09-10-2016 06:09 PM

He's right up there with Waldo

CyberCubed 09-10-2016 09:12 PM

People come and go. Half the people from back around 2005-2012 or so don't post here anymore either or barely post.

Not everyone sticks around forums forever besides a select few like myself.

Yeah, it's kinda sad how people can let internet message forums get to them like this. I think his issues lie deeper.

Nope, he hasn't posted again. You did say that he logged in a time or another ever since his last post, however.

I don't mean to convey a sense of cynicism, but I don't think NetKeeper's returning.

This place isn't/wasn't a good place for him. He couldn't express his opinion(s)/perspective on a topic without people either mocking his beliefs or viciously bullying him. In addition, he was clearly stressed out about his current situation; the circumstances surrounding the Technodrome (at that time) didn't help. I feel like everyone should have made an effort to treat him better, myself included. I feel sorry for him, and I hope he gets the help he needs.

Anyway, I think he's gone for good. It's a shame. :(

TheSkeletonMan939 09-10-2016 10:28 PM

That's utter poppycock.
No one openly mocked his beliefs nor "viciously [bullied] him", unless you can cite an instance of deliberate intent to offend him.
It seemed to me he had a number of personal issues that cascaded on him at once and ended up with him freaking out. It had nothing to do with how 'Dromers treated him.

"Papenbrook Shames Us All."

That's Bingo for me; g'nite, everybody!

TheSkeletonMan939 09-10-2016 10:31 PM

Bingo already?? Prove it! Show me your board!
