Longtime producer Dan Schnieder leaving Nickelodeon

Rumors about this guy abusing the young teen girls featured on his shows have been swirling around the Internet for years. I was on his Twitter recently and he has a habit of taking lots of pictures of kids' feet.

Nickelodeon Parts Ways With Producer Dan Schneider

Quote:

Nickelodeon and prolific TV producer Dan Schneider have opted to end their longtime partnership.
"Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our longtime creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal," the Viacom-owned cable network said Monday in a statement. "Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects."

Schneider, a former actor whose credits include Head of the Class, has a history with the kid-focused network that dates back to the 1990s when he meet Nickelodeon's Albie Hecht, who hired him to work on the sketch comedy All That. (He would quit that series after four seasons before being asked to revive it again in 2001.) Schneider's Nickelodeon programs have included The Amanda Show, What I Like About You, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat and more. He has helped launch the careers of Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, among others.

"Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery team have created a string of lasting, groundbreaking hits over the years including iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and the current No. 1 hit show on Nickelodeon, Henry Danger," said the network. "We thank Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery producers, executives and social media team for their immeasurable contributions to Nickelodeon, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors. And Dan and Schneider’s Bakery are proud of the work they did together with Nickelodeon and will always remain big fans of the network.”

Deadline was first to report Schneider's split from Nickelodeon. Schneider's most recent creation, Game Shakers, was recently canceled after its third season. “After three seasons and 63 episodes, Nickelodeon has wrapped production on its live-action series Game Shakers,” Nickelodeon told Deadline. “We are proud of the show’s success, and our dedicated and talented cast and crew. Premieres will continue to air throughout 2018.”

Lock him up.

They seem to all be FAKE rumors started by 4chan a while back, and even though the evidence presented frames him as some type of monster, you can cherry pic screenshots and .gifs without context to make any producer look bad. If things were real then Nick would not be wishing him the best in his future in the press release so it's just more people adding to the conspiracy theory.

The guy likely deserves the benefit of the doubt until anything real comes out and with the #metoo movement, you'd think the'd have been called out already if there was any truth to it, so I'm certain he'd go down if it's real.

We have to stop jumping to conclusion like this.

I understand where it comes from - So many terrible things have been swept under the rug for too long and the inclination to not take any more **** is powerful.

But you can't just go around destroying reputations and locking people up without some type of proof. It's too slippery of a slope when it comes to freedom.

Yeah, I doubt he did anything. Sounds like fake news to me. And trusting 4chan is never good.

I sort of have a love/hate relationship towards Schnieder's work, on one hand he does create some funny dialogue but on the other hand his "Female/Male Abuse Double Standard" rubs me the wrong way and I hate how he makes obnoxious characters.

I absolutely 100% love his work to death. Regardless of whether or not he ever had any inappropriate relationships with any of the girls on his shows, he clearly has a thing for hot young teenage @$$.

I remember him from the show "Head of the Class" from way back in the days.

Apparently, there are rumors that Schneider might have received a payout from Nickelodeon.

Spike Spiegel 03-28-2018 12:18 PM

I noticed that there are a LOT less posts on his Twitter now.

Looks all those feet and toe-centric images were stealthily deleted. I wonder if that's just PR or if it was a condition of some kind of agreement?

Oh my ...

Apparently, Dan Schneider himself has addressed some of the rumors that allude to some alleged misconduct. And he might be planning a comeback soon.

When this case explodes, ...

I'm not sure what to fully think of him. I heard about this stuff and that some of the girls who worked with him spoke out against him, which included auditions. Maybe the dude does have a foot fetish. Didn't that come up in most of those shows he produced...stuff involving feet? Oh, and there was that one thing with Ariana Grande (didn't know she did TV shows before the singing thing until about two years ago when my friend's kids were watching a show on Nick)...it seemed kind of wrong and sexualized. She had a potato or something, water was poured on her and I didn't get what the scene and stuff was supposed to be showing or conveying fully.

That's what I mostly know him for.
