Head popping turtles...

What did you all think of these? Remember them...you tucked their heads into their shells and squeezed the legs and up their heads shot...LOL! Personally I thought they were a silly excuse to get more figures on the market and another set of weapons in my already BIG pile....but they were kinda fun in a rudimentary way. Remember the commercial for them? It had everyone walking around with their heads tucked down? LOL

the leo one was my last ninja turtle toy, i remember taking good care of it and still the legs got broke, maybe cuz you had to move their legs to pop up the head, i loved it! :)

I thought it was cool that I could act out the scene where Mikey says, "I love being a turtle!".

Doh...I never thought of that...now it kinda makes me want one of those head popping turtles again :D

My poor hands haven't touched one of those in years! I long to go back in time to save my very old figures that were lost.

droppins..

Yea, I bought them long ago, however, never played with them. There really was no point and I wasted my money on them. I did the Mikey "love being a turtle" thing but that was about all they were good for. The "group" of figures I played with most was the movies star Turtles, they could bend, and they looked the most real. I liked them!

They really need to come out with some more of those old figures. A lot of memories could come back. :)

Bowser_Koopa 11-10-2003 10:38 AM

i also loved it cause it was another "naked turtles", i didn't like the ones that would be wearing clothes or stupid clothes like the tmtn rockers, the only one of those i liked was the space raph

When I was little I never played with the costumed Turtles. They simply sat in the play bin. Really, the only Turtles I played with were the originals. The costumed ones are still fun to have though.

Hey Bowser, your turtle toys are in great condition :goofygri:

E-money 11-10-2003 05:15 PM

NO WAY Savanti! If they bring back the old toys like they are already doing, I'm gonna take a gun to my head, then wallet. We need to see more new figures with some new paintings and stuff! If you want old memories (which arent too bad) go look at the old toys....

I loved the disguised Turtles, esp. Mike the Sewer Surfer and Raph the Space Cadet...those were cool dudes. Played with Raph the Space Cadet out the most of alot of figures.

No, but I remember an ad smiliar, some retractable pen commercial starring Beavis and Butthead, their heads disappeared into their bodies when they clicked the pens, of course I had never seen the B&B show back then.
