For a minute I thought this was a movie about these guys

I've been turned off of this movie ever since the first trailer (different from the one in first post), feels like a parody of the gay community to me and not even in a good way, honestly. I like comedy that wants to go to uncomfortable places, I just don't find anything about this particularly funny, and the joke in the trailer about "remember straight people? yeah they had a good run" was cringe, I promise you most of us don't think or feel that way, lol.

Movie is doing terrible and Star Billy Eichner cries Homophobia as the excuse for this movie doing terrible

Seems the horror movie 'Smile' destroyed it.

Must be failing because of white supremacists. That's the only explanation. Unless it's the misogynists.... it could be the misogynists. Well it might not be - it could be the homophobes, which makes sense I guess because this movie has gay people in it. It must have failed because of that.
Unless the white supremacists pretended to be homophobes, in which case it was the white supremacists who didn't buy tickets. Clearly. It must be them. The white homophobe misgyacistsphobes. Ists. Them. It's them. It's they. Them. Exactly. |
Ok, seriously, is Hollywood trying to get straight people to hate the LGBTQ community? I mean why else would they keep making bad gay movies and automatically call any critic a “homophobe”?

The thing these woke nutjobs never understand is that there are way more of the common average joe than there are them. So you can't make movies where the marketing is 'this isn't for you, buddy!!!' while at the same time the success of your movie depends on 'the average joe' also buying movie tickets despite you telling them not to.
It makes no sense. Especially when the target audience either doesn't care as well, or there just isn't enough of the target audience where even if a lot of them go (like in this movie's case) it's still not enough to make enough money. |
It's what's new and hip today. It's the new "race card" for this generation of weak minded kids. You don't like this because it has that, then guess what...you're a raging homophobe and racist and sexist and transphobic and terf and a toxic male.
Go figure for the generation that doesn't like labels they pretty much love to label anyone and anything. The map is racist because it depicts Africa smaller than it is. Not ********ting on this one. The maps are raciiiiiiiiiist |

I actually saw Smile. I was shocked at how legitimately good and scary it was. |
You're right, cause even if Smile had not debuted that weekend, The Woman King still beat Bros that weekend.
Pretty much woke on woke crime. So that's a funny conundrum. If you go to the movies and want to be a woke self righteous chump, do you watch The Woman King and not Bros cause you're homophobic or do you go watch Bros and not The Woman King cause you're racist. |
Never was huge into romcoms.

-Ticket sales are positive information. A number-of-tickets sold that it can be positively counted. -The number of ticket sales can be inflated artificially in significant numbers, but cannot be deflated artificially in significant numbers. -Therefore, when your movie fails and you blame the "istaphobes" you are then calling the majority of people on Earth who didn't see your trash movie "istaphobes". You are literally saying that the only "good" people on Earth are the 500 people who saw your dumb f'n movie because they bought tickets, the only positive measure. The negative measure - meaning the measure that you don't see - is the empty valley of unsold tickets because more people did not buy tickets than did. Don't pay for woke $#!( because when you do you are also supporting woke stupidity. Quote:
Why is this funny? I was reading the thread and the responses and you should see the hundreds of replies of NPR-woke-leftists making excuses for why this movie failed and how [they] "would've seen it but nobody goes to the theaters anymore" or "I was looking forward to this one, but it should have been on Netflix". It is hysterical. The hypocrisy of those people literally posting their excuses why they didn't go and support this newest woke $#!( movie with money. HYSTERICAL! Seriously go to the NPR Facebook and just check out the thread and responses and watch those people lose their minds trying to explain away their lack of virtue for not seeing this movie. |
