So do you think this arc might tie to Ogglympics in some way?

So is that like... Gonna lead to his resurrection or something?

Maybe he will have cameo during this issue but he might have more of a role in issue 14 which will conclude Ogglympics arc because there at least one villain from another universe will appear which is Tiger Claw from 2012 series so he might also appear there but remember this is just a speculation and that nothing is confirmed and probably won't be until issue 14 come out that way they will surprise us but it is confirmed that Tiger Claw will appear in that issue

nidza_maj2000 03-06-2024 03:01 PM

What do you guys think about this issue? By the way I think it is good and I also like how this confirms Turtles Forever is canon

Chaotix12345 03-06-2024 03:14 PM

Thought it was a solid conclusion. Liked the canonizing of both Turtles Forever AND the multi-colored Foot Soldiers from the video games. Could've definitely gone a little crazier with the power of the sword, but I understand why they would hold some of that back for the next arc. It definitely felt like a plot taken straight from the old show's better years.

Does this means old video games are also canon to series like Turtles Forever movie or not?

Chaotix12345 03-06-2024 03:23 PM

Beats me, but it was a fun cameo.

Well I guess they are canon, their page is updated on wiki: https://turtlepedia.fandom.com/wiki/...87_video_games) now on era(s) section it also writes Saturday Morning Adventures, by the way I know wiki isn't reliable but if it is true this means this video games are also in same universe as series? What do you think? Also it is good Turtles Forever movie is canon even though TMNT 1987 characters acted out of character in that movie

Chaotix12345 03-06-2024 03:34 PM

Probably depends on the game, given the weirdness of stuff like Baxter still being human in the OG arcade game and Turtles in Time's Tokka/Rahzar and Slash not being consistent with their portrayals in the show. Shredder's Revenge is one I could see fitting somewhere in the timeline since it's expressly based on the FW cartoon.

What you mean is TMNT Shredder's Revenge could be canon to series?

Chaotix12345 03-06-2024 03:37 PM

Yeah, since it's a lot more consistent in designs and locations and characters and such when compared to the show.

Okay than, what is your opinion about Turtles Forever being canon?

I kind of prefer to think most things that are meant to be related to FW cartoon isn't necessarily part of canon to the show, or at least not related to each other. Setting aside the fact that the show itself didn't even keep continuity straight, it would be weird to think all these things exist on the same timeline.

If that was the case, then we'd have to accept Krang is somehow both a disembodied lizard creature and simply just an Utrom, which is just one of many contradictions you'd have to resolve.

Well Turtles from other shows and comics will make an appearance in Ogglympics arc which starts in next issue

Chaotix12345 03-06-2024 03:47 PM

I think it could work alright. There's weirdness like Bebop and Rocksteady's unmutated forms showing up as cameos, but in a universe full of animation errors that create duped and swapped Turtles constantly, it's easy enough to overlook. You could even handwave the Turtles' goofier behavior as being caused by the lingering effects of a device or Ogg or something. Regardless, yeah, the old show's canon wasn't exactly ironclad, so it's really just up to interpretation.

In TMNT 2003 season 7 episode 1 there is a future where 3 Shredders fight, it is one of time periods where Viral send them so that means he survive events of Turtles Forever movie so maybe he will appear in issue 14 of this comic where Tiger Claw from TMNT 2012 series will appear at least and some other Turtles from multiverse will also appear in that arc

Finally got around to this one. Now I just need to read the April special and I can get to issue 12.
