Archie: The Decision

Archie's gonna finally decide if it's Betty or Veronica, and his choice will be made by Tom King

:o
Wow.

I mean as far as "nerd life" goes that's pretty big. The entire operating model of their story-dynamic has been the back and forth and the tug of war...

I don't buy it. They've done this sort of thing many times even going back decades.

Exactly. Last decade there was that "Married Life" book which told two parallel storylines where Archie was married to both of them in two separate timelines. The choice has lost all meaning.

Well... I mean.... to play Devil's Advocate, almost every "status quo changing" story in comics is "The Death of Superman". Sooo.....

I am not a fan of Tom King at all otherwise I might be interested for nerd sake.

I liked the answer in what was it... the 90s? "Which one will Archie finally pick, Betty or Veronica? NEITHER! He's picking Cherryl Blossum!" And then just leaving it at that.

Book is out.

Spoiler:
Archie doesn't make the decision at all, he decides to flip a coin on it but it ends up rolling away from him and eventually he just forgets about it

That should count as false advertising. If it was a story within their digests, fine, but selling the book on the sole premise of Archie making a choice, the ****er better make an actual choice.

Like imagine Death of Superman, but Superman doesn't die in the story. And I don't mean die in that book and come back a year later in another book, I mean, not dying in the actual book called 'Death of Superman'.
