Now my brain is trying to come to terms with Eastman & Laird being in-universe characters to the live-action film franchise.

Roseangelo 09-20-2024 01:16 PM

Damn. Will need this one.

Zulithe 09-20-2024 02:26 PM

real nice, can't wait.

hope they can do a Liard to go with him somehow.

teemu 09-20-2024 02:39 PM

I'd rather have the Pizza Delivery guy. This figure is just stupid.

I heard he finally got a new route.

Otter 09-20-2024 05:29 PM

I think I'm going to need some help getting this one.

Edit: no wait... we can order directly from NECA? Hopefully he's not as tricky as the First Turtles.

Really cool that they're doing his movie 1 garbageman cameo, gonna get this one for sure. Peter never did a cameo right?

Also, still hoping to be able to get that Tatsu!

Well, it's certainly unique and a deep cut. I can see the appeal, but I feel like the NECA stuff jumped the shark years ago already.

at least he had some relevance in the movie and an actual scene being late to deliver pizza. This neca "trashman" figure looks like some random trashman named kevin eastman. It's typical NECA cash crab. I'd rather have the black lady that had her TV stolen in the opening of the film, at least she made it into a scene instead of a "deleted scene" random trash dude.

This is a must own item for a Shellhead. I hope they make Peter next.

Not really. An Irrelevant deleted scene NECA cash grab figure is not must own.

We could of gotten:

Black complaining TV lady w/ TV set
Late Pizza delivery man (who had other roles in the film)
Sam Rockwell thug with cigarette cartons
The Police Chief w/ screaming head
Danny's Dad

Otter 09-23-2024 04:30 AM

Hardly irrelevant; cameo (albeit unused) from one of the creators.

It's a must-own for me. Kevin is a lovely bloke who totally deserves to be immortalised in plastic, and will be on permanent display in my collection. I've even got a spot picked out already.

This is a great exxlusive.

And I'm glad to see the 1990 well hasn't run dry just yet. :)

Given that NECA is making a figure of a character that wasn't even in the movie, you don't have to worry about the well running dry. Your wallet, on the other hand...

An unimportant scene never making it into the film IS pretty irrelevant. The scene wasn't used because it was a dumb cameo scene to begin with. A trash man of Kevin is as lame as it gets and doesn't seem deserving at all. We keep supporting this, next will be Splinter's TURDS on the ground deleted scene

Chief Sterns and Mr. Pennington actually do feel like HUGE omissions at this point. Sterns even got a brief cameo in Secret of the Ooze... and became a major recurring character in the 1990s Italian Il Giornalino comics.

Being a deep cut isn't the point. The point is it's Kevin Eastman.

why does a creator need a plain jane looking figure of himself? At least show up as something cool....Apparently, Neca is not the only one making a figure of him (and Laird)

He doesn't. But it's a nice tip of the hat to Eastman.

You do realise this line isn't exclusively for you, right?

There are people who think this figure is plenty "cool".

not for $35-40, plus shipping and tax cool. It's still a generic looking cash grab from NECA that passes off as a 70's porn trash man and that's about it.
